No price on peace of mind
I heard some mix reviews about using a baby sensor but I decided to go for it as I am terrified of SIDS even with our son sleeping next to me in his co sleeper bed. He's now four months old and honestly I wish I had gotten this sooner. It gives me such peace of mind as I sleep. The nightlight feature is also so handy as it really does glow just enough that I can see him but not disturb any of our sleep. The ticking function is also handy, though I do tend to hold my breathe while waiting for the next tick.I don't use the speaker function at night since he is right next to me but I've used it during the day. It's worked pretty well except once so far where he started to wake up and I heard him from the living room but not on the speaker. But our house isn't that big so it's not such an issue. After using it just a week it's honestly one of the best safety products I've bought. I will certainly be recommending this to any new moms.

Great peace of mind, so glad I chose the sensor pad
This product gives FANTASTIC peace of mind. I am using it already even though our baby is still in with us.The instructions are extensive or seem so when you are sleep deprived so had to read several times to make sure I got it right (a quick set up guide would be helpful!)I only have 1 criticism of this product, it doesn't stay permanently on and only transmits sound through the parent unit when it picks up a noise in the room. Instructions say this is to preserve the battery life, however even with this function the battery life is rubbish. I would rather be able to hear constant transmission and keep the parent unit plugged into the mains wherever I am in the house.

Excellent item
Excellent item; have been using for 2 months now, and I wouldn't be without. Arrived super fast, well packaged. Assembly is easy with good instructions. Using in a flat bed crib. Works fantastically, loud alarm that sounds if baby stops moving or breathing, fantastic item for peace of mind. Never had a false alarm. I highly recommend this product to all new parents.

As an anxious first time mum found this helped to ...
As an anxious first time mum found this helped to reassure me. It also works as I've frequently forgotten to turn it off after taking my baby out her crib and set it off! It does seem to make a constant intermittent beeping noise - not sure if this can be turned off but got used to it now.Only used this in a bedside sleeper to date so hoping it works ok in a cot bed. It did falsely go off one night which gave me a fright which I think was because my little girl had squished herself into a corner of her sleeper and had her legs in the air! Also be prepared that you will need to get a piece of hard board for the pad to sit on as per instructions, which I wasn't expecting

The best piece of baby gear we have yet purchased.
Had we not purchased this 8 months ago we may have taken 8 years off our own lives. Its been a fantastic piece of mind. At the very least you will sleep so much better knowing this thing has got your back. Each time we lift bubba out of his cot it will sound the alarm, so yes! it works perfectly. We found the factory setting to be just right - but go ahead and fine tune it if you think you need to. The alarm has only sounded twice in 8 months due to baby's akward sleeping position, eg, wedged high on his pillow at the far end corner of his cot where the sensor could not detect his breathing. Buy it! you font regnet it - especially if it saves your childs life.

Execllent poduct
Very well made. Quality construction and feels robust. This is not a "cheaply made" piece of plastic. There is thought and design gone into this, in the tooling, in the grade of plastic, how it is assembled and so on. Someone has had a think about this product.Instruction manual is good, but there is a fair bit to read through. Can recommend, but the RRP of £109 is hedonistic when compare the meerkat, at the £57 paid in November it exceeds expectations. At £79 (current price) I would be happy with it. At £109 I would expect it to be good, but wouldn't have paid that.

perfect! almost exceptional!
this is a amazing product for any parent to have. i was a bit unsure as how it could measure such little movement from baby so i sat and timed a few fair times to make sure the timings were correct and the alarm worked every time.be sure to read the instructions fully as we almost bought a memory foam mattress and it is not recommended, works best with spring mattress. it does not have a talk back feature,if it did it would be exceptional however i still highly recommend it as gives you peace of mind.

Too many false alarms
There are so many angelcare monitors so I would check each one carefully to see what is important to you. I think there is an Angelcare chart somewhere with a handy checklist for which model has which function. We heavily researched but still feel this monitor hasn’t been great for us.Positives- the tic noise was reassuring to know baby was breathing. Nightlight was great and didn’t interfere with her sleep. My husband said it was fairly straight forward to set up (remember you need a piece of wood or something rigid for the sensor pad which isn’t included in the monitor)Negatives- so, so many false alarms! At first it was heart stopping.. but we could eventually guarantee it at least once a night, meaning we didn’t take the alarms seriously when they did sound. I eventually turned off the monitor at night and when baby moved into her own room we reverted back to an old video monitor. We now don’t use this at all which is such a shame for the price of the unit.Lots of setup checks and we were sure it was all done according to the instructions so we just gave up.This model also doesn’t have constant noise, it only kicks in when baby makes sound. The tic noise took the edge off the silence coming from the monitor but I would rather have constant sound.Overall we were quite disappointed with this monitor and not reassured with the alarm system, particularly as our baby has a lung anomaly so we have been more worried than most regarding her breathing.Maybe some of the other Angelcare monitors are better but this hasn’t been a good purchase.
