ANC could be better so if that's what you want you will likely want to spend a bit more money but in this price range these are a very solid offering with clean audio and nothing too far off when it comes to balance like you have with some headphone brands. Overall they feel and look quite premium and with the exception of some of the ANC processing having issues recognizing noises at times they have been great headphones.

I had the 1st gen Sonic Solace and loved them, wore them out, then forgot them at a hotel while traveling for work. This pair has better controls and probably better sound. However in the 17 months since I purchased them, both sides of the earphones broke at the swivel. Superglue is your friend, but these could be made better.

I purchased a pair of Monoprice SonicSolace headsets for my wife and myself in August 2018. They were excellent, and functioned perfectly over the years (and still do to this day!). But we use our headsets a lot, and finally wore out the earpads and headband to the point where, in December 2023, we decided to purchase a new pair of these to replace our five year old headphones.These lasted 5 months and 6 months respectively. Last month my wife's broke at the swivel, and this week mine did the exact same thing, breaking in the same place as hers. I have long looked to Monoprice for electronic gear and always found their products to be of good quality and reliable. But clearly something is drastically wrong with the quality of this headset. These should be 5 star headphones, but based on their short life, I can't give them more than one. We will have to look elsewhere, and would suggest that you do the same.

Has some noise cancelation and works good. I'm not an audiophile but it sounds ok to me. If I wear for a while it is a little tight on pressure on the sides of my head.
