Worth every dime.

This phone is a look alike for the Samsung Note 3 but with Cortex A7 Octa-core (8) processor. The Note 3 has either quad core or dual-quads (4xA-7 plus 4x A-15) in a littleBIG arrangement. The N9800 is 8 ARM A-7 cores. It however doesn't have the S-Pen. I rarely used it on my old Note 2 though so that wasn't a big deal for me. AnTuTu overall puts it at 30848 after the KK update. That puts it close to the LG G overall score. On Geekbench 3, the single CPU score wasn't anything special @ 435 (similar to a Galaxy S3 score), but the multi-core was up there with some of the premier phones at several times the cost @ 2288 (smack dab between a S4 and S5). Since these phones always have several tasks running in the background, I prefer more cores over fewer faster single cores. Also prefer more RAM (not storage RAM - for running programs). I consider 1GB a bare minimum usable, with 2GB or more preferred. This device has 2... and puts it to use well. The cores and RAM mean a pretty smooth running phone with few if any "pauses".Screen look is pretty sharp. It's a 720p (720x1280) not 1080p like some others this size, but it still looks nice. Video is pretty smooth. I have noticed the touch sensor sometimes requires a firmer touch than I'm used to on other devices. Still looking into that.BTW there is a Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat update available but it takes some work to get it installed vis SP Flash Tool (the tool to update MTK based devices).I'm a little skeptical about the 4600mAh that's written on the battery. Battery life has been barely a day. By the time for bed it's complaining that it needs to be plugged in. I'm curious to get the other "3300mAh" battery that's available at about 1/2 the price and see if it's any different.Rooting it was easy with vroot (iroot) and then replacing the Chinese language app prompts with SuperSU.I'm also curious if the Note3 cases would fit. I suspect it just might...I'll try to remember to update from time to time. If I forget or you have a question, post a comment and I'll try to answer/update.12/6 - Quick update: Not sure why or if even related, but after updating to Android 4.4.2 KK ("Official image"), battery life has been MUCH better. After 2 day, I still have 45% of the battery left. It was hitting < 15% and issuing the "charge now" pop up after 10-12 hours. I'm letting it run down all the way, trying to condition the battery. So it may be that and not the OS upgrade. No way to be absolutely sure since both were done at the same time. Regardless, the battery is doing much better now.12/17 - Update on the battery life: It appears it has more to do with where I'm at than with the OS. That actually makes sense to me... At work, I sit at a desk that backs up to the back side of a vault for the credit union. That blocks a lot of the signal. So the phone is struggling to keep it in service, and that's eating the battery up. The other thing that eats battery is playing games. I still have my doubts about the stated capacity of the battery.

kingelon but not elon-enough

Hated the fact that the item has a ton of information that was not in English, and it's not that I didn't like the product, it's settings were way different from where I'm from. I was not use to it although I tried because I loved this phone but it could be difficult to use with all the extra buttons to make a phone call and which was why I returned it. It's rate of speed I had never an issue, but due to my service and my location made it even more of a problem, I live in a 60,000 populated city. It's sensors were very sensitive which was irritating but everyone loved my phone because it was big and pink. Hate to let it go but because of the tiny technical difficulties, it was so upsetting I finally returned the phone.

Think before you buy it!

Worse phone ever will be returning it as soon as my new one comes in.
