I broke a bolt off the intake on my Lexus LS430. You can see by the picture it's in a very tricky spot, but I was able to use drill extensions after hitting with a center punch. Broke two drill bits trying to get the hole drilled. I tried two other bolt extractor kits and it wasn't biting into the hole in the bolt. I ordered these last night and they just came in, it literally took me a minute to put the correct size on a 3/8 extension and use my ratchet to get it out. These bite really well into the drill hole, I saw where some people have to smack it with a hammer first, I didn't have to do that, soon as I put it in I turned the extension with my hand and felt it biting, so I grab my ratchet and sure enough it extracted the bolt. Now to find a vice to put the bolt in so I can get the bolt extractor off of it.

I broken 2 bits easily

I had a stripped screw stuck in my DeWalt planer. I drilled into it and used the extraction kit I bought many years ago. The stuck screw broke the extractor bit. So I drilled some more and the drill bit broke inside the screw. Swell. Went to Lowes and bought an extraction kit that included new drill bits. I drilled into the broken bit inside the screw, inserted the extractor bit and IT broke inside the screw too. I managed to get the broken extractor bit out and thought, "Now what am I going to do?" I got online and found this extraction set. It indicated they were made of pretty tough metal so I bought them. Went out to the garage today, inserted the 3mm bit, and presto! Within about 30 seconds I had the damaged screw out. These bits are worth twice the money! I was happy to pay the price and now have a great, super strong set of extractors for my tool collection. Can't begin to express how happy I am with them.

I very much liked the fact that all fits a socket wrench and impact wrench.It appears solidly made, but despite an appropriate drill hole size it failed to grip.If the grip would be more aggressive it may work better, the other issue seems to be the hardened steel bolt.I used a carbide tipped drill on it and I suspect that cromoly may strip.

I don't usually ever leave reviews, but I feel compelled to do so because of how well the screw extractor worked or me. All I did was drill a hole and then used the extractor. The screw came right out. I would highly recommend it.

this "tool " is a total waste of money and my time , absolute junk , metal is very soft , extractor had no biting edges , just spun in a pre-drilled hole in a broken bolt . Shame on you people for selling this "tool"!2mm bit was missing from set , did not really need at that point but thats not fair.
