The perfect All-in-One UV Filtration System
I have had this filter in my pond for 4 years and have had zero issues with it. It is actually the second one I've had because the first one was for a smaller pond that was upgraded to a larger pond. The filters and equipment are easy to clean and should be done bi-weekly for best results. Its easy to spray the gunk out of the filter pads and reuse over and over again. Replacement pads are inexpensive and only need to be purchased 1-2x/year.The flow rate is perfect and I love that I can divert the flow to the fountain feature and through a secondary UV filter or another water feature.I would definitely recommend it.

Great success!
My 1800 gallon pond has biofalls and I seed the pond with beneficial bacteria often but when the air temps are above 90F, the clouds of green single-cell algae thrive, and water clarity suffers (ie visibility drops to one inch). So added this 900 with UV lamp as a additonal filter and aerator. Worked great. Within one week, pond clarity is crystal clear and visibility is all the way to the bottom. Was easy to set up and I like that the pump/filter is totally submersible in the pond (expect for the rain shower snorkel). In addition to filtraron, adds aeration to pond as well. The LED light at night is a nice feature. I wish there was as easy indicator to quickly show that the UV light is functioning. It is possible to check such, but takes a small amount of effort. Otherwise, it worked great for me and I highly recommend.See before and after photos. Suspended single cell green algae inn first photo. Can see to the bottom in second photo.Just ordered replacement UV bulbs for nexts years to come.

Making a big difference
I have a 300 gallon stock tank pond and purchased the 900 gallon model. My pond was in shambles due to various filters and pumps constantly bogging down. I hadn't done any maintenance on it in months and the water was completely green and not circulating. I decided to get it together finally and wanted something powerful enough to move the water. This filter has been running while I clean the pond (using API pond products - algaefix, sludge destroyer, and accuClear). In the past these products work well but create particles which bog down the filter. But it doesn't seem to be problem with this powerful pump. The water is clearing up remarkably well and the fountain is still pushing water without a drop in performance. The pump and filter are made out of a very high quality plastic and the whole thing feels very sturdy. It requires two outlets (one for the pump, one for the light I assume). Also note that you can't change the color of the LED. The fountain head options are nice and the height and angle of the pipe is easily adjustable so it will look right in the water if your bottom isn't level. I didn't have any issues with the filter trying to float. The included media seems sufficient. There is noise to hear over the sound of the fountain.I'm hoping this will last a long time but will update my review if there's a problem.

UPDATED: It was great, while it worked! :/
The media could not be loaded. After jumping through some serious hoops to find whom to talk to about getting this refunded/replaced, we finally found contact info and we were able to get them to replace the pump part free of charge. I'd give it 5 stars if it were easier to find whom TO CONTACT to get a refund/replacement. The unit when working is fantastic. We have a large 3000-gallon pond that is built into our retaining wall and hill that held our Koi AND Goldfish. Last year we had a HUGE Goldfish spawn and ended up with over 100 babies to get rid of, on top of the adults we had (around 15) so we decided to create a smaller pond JUST for our goldfish. It was a REAL challenge catching them all in our larger pond, but by the end of the summer last year we had managed to catch them all and put them into the smaller pond, which is about 250-300 gallons.I found this filter and it seemed like just what I needed for the smaller pond so we ordered one in the spring of 2020. I liked the fact that it had the UV filter in it as well since it's a fairly small pond and has about 10 goldfish in it. I also liked that it had the fountainhead because I did not have any water surface movement on the right side. Sadly by the end of the season, around September it completely stopped working. I have no clue why, but it's completely DEAD!! It's unfortunate that it broke so soon because it really was working great. Not sure if we just got a bum one, or if they all just conk out after a short period of time, but we will be looking for a new one in the spring again and we probably will not spend the $$ for this one, which was a bit pricy!! But we spend a LOT of money on our ponds each year, we just need to VALUE from what we spend, it's not a cheap hobby to have Koi! lol

Electrocuted our duck. Make sure to plug it into a GFCI outlet.
Bought this for a 300gal pond with an occasional duck that would bathe in it once or twice a day. It did very little to clean the fine particles from the pond, and eventually the pond turned green and stayed that way despite cleaning the Polymer wool filter multiple times a week. We initially plugged it in to the nearest outlet just to test it, and realized the UV light came pre-assembled loosely - it shorted out shocking the water and our duck in it. It's of utmost importance you plug this or any pump into a GFCI outlet. That was our fault...however this pump especially seems more prone to such things happening so extreme caution should be taken. The rough and course filter media seemed largely irrelevant for our pond. The super thin white Polymer wool filter pad just makes up too little of the overall filtering design. I think it tries to compensate for this with a gimmicky UV light, which probably acts as more of an attractive selling point than an efficient means to clean your pond.I'm sure this pump works well in an already clean and calm pond with very little happening. If you have any animals bathing in the pond you're going to need something with a stronger filtration system.
