I bought a bunch of these and keep buying more.
I use these to make catchment rain barrels from old T shirts and $9 Home Depot Rubber Maid trash cans. I invert the lid and with this fitting in the center of the lid provides a transition between the lid and a bag filter.Also they make a neat way to couple two or twenty cans so each one when full fills the next one. I use pvc tubing between fittings to make the water tight transition.

Worked well but ended up changing it out for a smaller one for my live well.

Worked great. As advertised. Don't know about longevity. My application is out of the sun so I expect it will last a very long time. Delivered on time, well packaged and without any defects.

These fittings are not for a 1 1/8 inch opening ...
These fittings are not for a 1 1/8 inch opening. The threaded area is much larger, rendering it unable to be used in a boat manufacturers preset holes. These could be okay if a person is making a new hole in a project, but be sure of them as a replacement.

Right size
We used these on a boat for the live well tanks. We had been every where trying to find the parts for these live wells, should of look on amazon first! Worked great!

Bigger than I thought it would be
Overall height is 3 1/2".Largest overall diameter is almost 2 3/8".Inside diameter of "pipe" is 7/8".Looks to be constructed OK. Looks like just plain plastic.A little rough at the joints where it was molded.
