Logitech Canvas Keyboard Folio Case for iPad Air 2 -Red (920-007273) Will NOT Fit Other model iPad, will Only Fit iPad Air 2

With having 5 iPads in our house at any given time, the one with the Logitech keyboard is the one everyone much prefers to use. A sturdy case, a slimline keyboard, and the resting angle of the iPad for viewing turns my iPad into a mini key laptop. The other iPads have different cases. The grandkids will snag my iPad instead of using their own, and the case with a magnetic keyboard I bought my husband for his new iPad was a waste of money as the case doesn’t automatically turn off the iPad when you close the case, the keyboard has to be moved to use, and it doesn’t hold the iPad at an angle if you use it on your lap, which is where it is used most of the time. Durability I think is very good, but with the high use of my iPad, I have to admit this is my 3rd case in almost 6 years. The first one was rechargeable and lasted about 2.5 to 3 years until the battery wouldn’t charge anymore. I bought a refurbished battery operated case and after about 2.5 years the battery compartment tray lost its ‘snugness’. I bought another refurbished one and I didn’t realize how much slack the old case had developed, but since I didn’t buy it new, I consider the durability quite good. The iPad has been dropped quite a few times as you can imagine with two young kids using it so much over the years, and the only damage to the iPad was a tiny crack in the glass in the corner. Fortunately, the iPad was under warranty so they gave me a new iPad. Bottom line - don’t waste your money on any other product.

Came exactly as described and really nice red vibrant color. This is the 2nd time I have brought this product, it fell from a short height a few time and keys broke fairly easily and then battery life stopped after 3 years.

I liked this slim folio. It secured my Ipad firmly and the keyboard is really good. However, I knocked it off my desk, it fell to the carpeted floor and sustained damage-the frame that secured the ipad cracked in several places along the top. I didn't drop it a long distance onto concrete, it fell 3 feet onto a carpeted floor. Yet, once I jumped through all the hoops Logitech puts out there if you file a warranty claim (pictures that had to be attached and lots of other items but there's no way to talk with them on the phone for a problem like mine), they told me that the break wasn't covered by warranty as there policy doesn't warrant for accidental breakage. I explained to them that the purpose of the slim folio is, in part, to protect the Ipad. That shouldn't mean that in protecting the Ipad the slim folio broke. I think that's a manufacturing issue but to no avail. So, decent enough product but because it could break doing what it's supposed to do, Logitech won't honor a warranty claim so I would pass on any of their products. I know I will never purchase a Logitech product again.

FIRST: I am amazed at the reviews that indicate that when the batteries die the keyboard is toast and must be replaced. Take a look at the rear edge of the keyboard. There is a removable battery tray back there containing coin cell batteries. If your batteries are dead, pull the tray out and replace the old batteries. I haven’t examined my batteries in detail, but my best guess is that they are 2032 coin cells. They should provide reasonable service in normal use.Now for the review. I just received my keyboard case today, so I can’t address the issue of possible fragility in the plastic bracket. So far the greatest flaw I have found is the lack of documentation, and outdated information in the limited documentation here in the product description. Perhaps that is the reason for the battery confusion among some users.Having spent a little time working with the keyboard this evening I find the keyboard adequate (okay, it isn’t a Cherry, but what can we expect?). The layout is good and the IOS function keys are helpful. What I really love is having cursor keys on my iPad!The case itself seems nice and looks durable. I like the way the iPad locks into the keyboard and powers it on. It would be nice if there were a way to use the keyboard with the iPad held in portrait orientation. Years ago I had a keyboard case that had that feature. But the truth is that most of my typing needs are better handled in landscape mode so I can live with the lack of portrait support.Overall I am happy with this purchase, and hope it will hold up over time. I have typed this review using the keyboard and I must say that while the keyboard is small, it beats the on-screen keyboard by a mile.Hope this is helpful to you.

This keyboard case was purchased for my wife's iPad. She ditched her laptop years ago meaning her iPad is her primary device. She uses it multiple times a day and over the past few years this keyboard case has always performed perfectly. It offers excellent protection and the keyboard functionality is top-notch. The keys have an excellent feel to them and the keyboard is very responsive. This is a great alternative to the Apple case at a fraction of the cost. I highly recommend it.

The keyboard is working great and the reason I gave it a 3 is that I feel it has a major design flaw, in that it cannot be recharged and eventually it just dies and you have to buy another. The last version of this lasted a lot longer and you could recharge it, in fact you had to. So I have had my Ipad Air2 for under 2 years and the original one I bought is dead and the only thing to do is replace (after going through tech support, etc). So this is keyboard #2 and that just seems really wasteful to me.

I like this keyboard a lot. This is the second one I’ve purchased. My first one still works but it’s scruffy after using it for a couple years, so I replaced it. I love the feel of the keys. The keyboard feels similar to the Apple keyboard. Also, the keyboard is thin but it’s durable. The frame on my last keyboard cracked and it still worked well. A drawback is that the keyboard doesn’t allow the iPad to be positioned in the portrait view while using the keyboard (it can be positioned in portrait view, but you can’t type at the same time). Other than that, this is a winner.
