A great product, arrived in a timely manner.
I was pleasantly surpised when my parcel arrived before the estimated eta. I would happily buy from this seller.

Save the money, don't buy this
It's more work than rolling it by hand. I was really disappointed

Not for everyone
I’ve bought several ball winders and have been so very disappointed in every single one. From the photo I had thought that this one screwed into place (which I wanted) every time I try and use this it creates a mess not a smooth cake.

Don't Waste Your Money
This winder is totally useless unless you are winding MINI skeins. I tried three separate times to wind a hank of fingering weight yarn (100 gr/400ish yards). Less than half way through the holder becomes full and the yarn starts slipping over the top an the result is a messy, tangled cake. I've had years and years of experience winding yarn and this is the very first time I encountered this problem.Very, very disappointed.

Does a good job.
I like this yarn winder. It moves a little when winding, but not to much. It works really well.

NICE FOR SMALL SKEINS OF YARN
I have this one, plus another one I use, to make bigger yarn cakes. If I have smaller yarn skeins, I can use this one. It does work well,

Comfortable and easy to use.
Easier to use and less tiring than my previous unit especially when winding yarn for a larger project.

Perfect for the casual hobbiest
I usually don’t write reviews but I figured I should seeing how useful I’m finding this product. I’m a bit OCD and travel a lot with my yarn. I used to just ball it but those get really inconvenient fast when packing. Leaving them as is usually results in yarn barf too so I snagged one of these. It takes a bit of figuring out to get a good placement so it doesn’t wobble about but it does what I need it to do well enough for me to write this. Here’s also a list of tips.Don’t put it on a plastic or wood table by itself if you care about the surface. There are two strips of raised crosshatched plastic that due to the fact it wiggles back and forth while turning the crank it will start to score the surface. After a while it starts to squeak, the squeak is louder when you go slower. Some brands of yarn you can only get so much on the “cake” before it slips and can become yarn barf if you continue as is.It helps if you use the hand you aren’t cranking with to hold tension. If you have low friction gloves like the crafters compression gloves wear them so you don’t get too roughed up when you help hold tension. If you don’t have that keep some lotion handy if you’re doing a number of them at once.(This maybe edited at a later date with more tips)
