Pink Himalayan Salt Capsules 540 Caps (850 mg) Keto Diet Electrolyte

I follow a ketogenic diet which causes me to deplete sodium. I don't really like the taste of salt (I have more of a sweet tooth) so I don't use very much of it on my food, and drinking salty water makes me queasy even if flavored with something like Mio - I don't like Gatorade, either. These capsules make it easy for me to get the necessary sodium to avoid "keto flu", my doctor says that's a minimum of 3000mg per day. Each one of these capsules contains 850mg salt, which contains approximately 340mg of sodium. I take one with each meal and one before I work out, and my food tracking app says I am getting enough sodium between that and the salt in my food. If I eat something with a lot of sodium like a stir-fry with soy sauce, I skip the salt capsule for that meal. My blood pressure has not raised from the additional sodium, although I also take supplemental potassium and magnesium to balance the sodium.

This shipped to me way faster than predicted, which I appreciate! These are perfect to take for my fasting days when I need to make sure I get plenty of high quality salt. Of course it would cheaper to buy your own capsules and do it yourself, but paying extra for the convenience is super worth it! Highly recommend.

I started on the keto program 7 weeks ago and within a week or so was hamstrung with horrible gluteal muscle cramps that nearly incapacitated me. As a weight lifter who eats low carb my sodium is always super low. I keep these by my bed so when I get cramps at night I take one and they instantly disappear. I also take one in the a.m. with coffee.

I have a kid with POTS who needs to take in excess of 6,000mg of sodium a day. The kid could not stomach any of the high-sodium electrolyte drinks or any of the chews. These capsules make life so much easier to get the required sodium into the kid. Each capsule contains 850mg of Himalayan salt (wanted the extra minerals without all the iodine). Just under 6 capsules gives 2,000 mg of sodium.

Update. The large crystal pink salt capsules have been replaced with fine powder. Not sure if it is the same company or a knock off. Looks like cheaper stuff now. Old review: I don't like drinking salt water. I don't like the processed sodium chloride, so this is the best and only option I have found. It is also vegan.
