This is smaller than it appears
This is a very pretty piece - the metal is gorgeous, brushed, and shiny. I have no complaints about the aesthetics of this. However, even though the dimensions are clearly given in the description, those numbers don't really tell you the size. I know, I know, that sounds moronic. My point is that unless you're actually physically looking at/holding something that is that exact size, those numbers don't really tell you how small this planter actually is.For example, the 4" dimension from one side to the other is only at the top - the taper at the bottom makes it much less than that. Again, duh, right? I know, but once I got this and actually saw the size, it was just much smaller than the numbers stated. So, I returned it, as I needed a larger planter than this. Instead, I bought the Algreen Valencia Windowsill Planter (2 Pack), which are 14 by 6 by 5.5" - which was the size I really needed in the first place. Plus, for the same price as one of these, you get two of those.https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B018W850Z6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1If you already have a planter that's 12x4x4, and you know what size you're getting, and you already know that that size is the right size for what you want/need, then yes, I would wholeheartedly recommend this to you. Otherwise get something larger.

Arrived scuffed. Poor drainage, stays very wet. Not good for cactuses or succulentsss.
I am redoing my review after having used it for a while:I do NOT reccomend this pot for plants such as cactuses or succulents that need a dryer soil. From its arrival (surface review):It was not packed/shipped well.It arrived scuffed up on all sides. I put the best side front. If you are casually looking once it is planted, it is not horrible. I wanted better but will make due as it is uniquely the perfect size for the location I had chosen. It sctatches and scuffs very easily, which means it will continue to get more scratches, more noticeable, easily over time (even if you are careful).I expected it to be a bit more sturdy. The metal is very thin, though pretty. But, when filled, it is more sturdy. The soil weight helps.Practical review:The planter sits almost on top of the tray (way too close), not allowing for good drainage, even with the drainage holes in the pot.The soil will stay very wet for a long time very easily.Review on plantings:It can be too wet for too long for succulents and cactuses. I lost several plants until it finally dried out enough (which took weeks).I even tried filling it half way with stones meant to improve drainage and cactus/ succulent soil mix meant for good drainage. The pot is very deep, so that was easy to do.However, it still retained too much water and still has poor drainage. It would be better for plants that like wet soil. The texture and color are just as they seem in the photo. Points for that.

Still like it
I like this pot. Only thing that lost it a star is the collection pan under my pot does not sit flush. It is not quite sized right but I can still use the pot no problem.
