Works well for existing Ecowitt users
I bought this to go with a large, heated paddling pool. I already have an Ecowitt weather station WS2910 with some existing remote temperature monitors and this works in exactly the same way. You have to set the channel and then it magically appears in your ecowitt.net data.It seems pretty accurate, and also gives a readout on the thermometer itself. The only downside is that the batteries are not changeable, which seems a bit weird. With the device in use 6 months a year (and put into idle mode 6 months a year) they claim it will last for 5 years. After that, you have to replace the whole device.

I use it to monitor temp of the garden pool
Does the job, simple to mount, easy to integrate with my weather station (although it wanted to be channel 1 so I had to move my other sensor from channel 1 to 2 as that had a manual adjustment).

Poor battery life
The unit is convenient to use, easy to connect to the Ecowitt gateway and gives accurate readings. Initially the battery life was about 6 months but now into the 3rd year of use the battery barely lasts a month.

Poor battery life
Initially very impressed as can get realtime temperatures and also graph these, however product description states minumim 3 year battery life, mine only lasted 6 months.

Great addition to an Ecowitt ecosystem
I have two stations, a Davis and an Ecowitt. The Ecowitt is more for fun, but it still provides some good data for other aspects of measurements.I bought this so that I could monitor my Koi pond temperature. I have the data feeding to my website in real-time, so I can monitor it at any time and any location. It may seem a novelty, but I find it very handy!I like the way it is put together, too. It screws in to a mounting bracket, so as long as the bracket is secure, the sensor won't go anywhere. Very happy!

Display not water resistant.
Bought this for monitoring a Koi pond temperature. Worked well at first, but the display unit is not water resistant, and despite being sited out of the worst of the weather, stopped working, because the English rain got to it. The back battery compartment seems poorly designed and does not have moisture seals on it.

you cant change the battery!
This is a good product which works well, but unbelievably you cant change the battery. And if you dont remember to switch it into standby the battery might not last very long at all. Therefore a great product only if you dont use it. Do not buy, unless you have money to throw and have little regard for the environment.
