Q: can the pot go on a gas stove ?

Most definitely not, unless you want a melted plastic mess all over. While the pot itself is glass, the bottom has plastic along with a metal part that reacts to the heating element. Look at a non-electric option if you want something for the stove top.

Q: Does this have an auto shut off? Does it automatically go on warm once it reaches the boiling point? Also if it runs out of water does it shut off?

It does auto shut off either after the water reaches the desired temperature or the two hour warm feature has timed out. It does not automatically go on warm, you have to select the warm button at the same time you select the temp you want. It doesn’t shut off if it runs out of water.
