Worst product
I bought this camcorder because it had very good specs and features. It was the opposite with the quality of the product. The video was as if someone had processed it on purpose to look smudgy and grainy (like those special effects in music videos).Returned it and got a refund.

Bad Company, Great Camera
The camera worked well when I received it in the mail. It was light, easy to use, and took beautiful pictures and videos. The camcorder doesn't work to well in low light. For example, a well lit room leaves your videos looking like a low definition camera instead of a camcorder. The auto focus is a pain half the time because it'll just focus in and out of frame and sometimes takes forever to finally adjust to where you want it, So that priceless memory you wanted to have forever would be forfeit do to the focusing time. If you could adjust the focus manually it wouldn't be a problem however.I've had a few problems with the actual camcorder. The green light that should turn on when plugged up to charge no longer works and the screen LCD screen cracked. The are minor problems BUT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I'VE HAD SO FAR IS WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've emailed two of aipteks official website addresses and I've gotten an email saying I was spam. Aiptek has some email filtering system to check what is and isn't spam. Obviously costumers are bothersome. So today I have a camcorder that I can't tell of it charging or not or what's In view of the camera.IF YOU WANT TO BURN MONEY ON A CAMCORDER THIS CAMCORDER IS THE ONE FOR YOU. ONCE YOU BUY IT YOU BETTER TAKE OF IT. I recents getting a case for it as well

Nice camera for the price
I returned a Samsung Q10 to the store I bought it because I wasn't satisfied with it's quality. This camera seems to be better in lower light situations and also in it's auto focusing ability. The pistol grip makes it easier to hold. Only a 5X zoom but in my everyday life I don't use much more than that anyway. With digital high def it seems like you almost have to have cameras on a tripod if you want to zoom more than that otherwise the picture is all jerky. Before the Samsung that I had briefly all I had was the old VHS camera's that weren't so sensitive to movement. You can take pictures at the same time you are making a video by pressing the joystick. You can also take non-stop pictures. Like 10 right after another without stopping to wait for the next. The menu items are pretty basic and easy to learn. The resulting videos are .mov formatBattery life: I've only had this camera for about a month but the other day I was using it and made a hour video and a couple other smaller one's that added up to about 15 or 20 minutes and the battery still said about 1/2 full. The size of the 1 hour video was 3.3 gig. I had it set on 720p 60FPS. It also does 1080p but only at 30FPS, 720p at 30FPS, and a couple of other lower settings. For the price/quality ratio I'm very satisfied with this camera, I'm sure you could probably get a camera with even better low light picture quality and zooming ability but you're probably talking 3 times the money. The only suggestion I would have for the manufacturer is to put the zoom button in front of the pistol grip by your index finger, maybe make it toggle between your index and middle finger, instead of in the back on the top where your thumb is not in it's nature position.
