EasyView - Wi-Fi Full HD 1080p Monitoring System & Wireless Camera 4 Pack

The positive about this camera system is the picture quality and color. Let me start off by stating that this is a replacement for my older wireless system of the same brand. The new cameras are located in the exact same spot as the old cameras. The old cameras all came in on the monitor with no video loss and the old DVR was a single antenna (same size as on the cameras). The thing I was never pleased with was the picture clarity it just seemed like it was slightly out of focus, and that's the main reason why I upgraded to the newer system.As I previously stated the new cameras are in the exact same location as the old cameras. One of the new cameras loses video frequently and it's something I can live with, but the 4th camera doesn't come in at all. I contacted tech support and they were patient and did their best to try and rectify the problem. The two cameras that are the problem they had me unmount them and bring them inside where they could be hooked up with a cat. 5 cable to my router and location wise they were only a couple of feet away from the NVR (Network Video Recorder). They got the two cameras working, and told me they should work okay after remounting. After remounting the cameras and adjusting the antennas to the same configuration as they were previously in, I came inside to check, and one camera worked ok although it did intermittently lose video signal, and the other camera still did not display a picture. The cameras that do work, the picture quality and color are great. I am just so disappointed especially since I disposed of my old system which also was of the Swann brand and all of the cameras worked. As I said the tech dept tried to help, but they frequently put you on Hold, and I'm presuming they are either reading up on how to solve the problem or they are discussing it with a colleague to get the answer. Anyway, if you are considering purchasing this system, beware of the pitfalls.

I chose the Swann Easy-view system to keep tabs on our home. The price was great too.Setting it up took a little time, but after reading the manual when I ran into problems it went pretty smoothly.I'm able to view the cameras from my Smartphone and from my Tablet away from my home, but only in the presence of a WiFi signal, (which is just about anywhere except my car). Most all restaurants have WiFi.The price was great too.I would definitely recommend this video system.

I reconmend doing wired in the future. I get video loss a lot and have tried many things and have just come to the fact to except it. Wifi range on the system doesnt go far. The 50ft is with no walls. Even in station mode using my router, i still see issues. The app is also pretty bad as if often sahs it jas no recordings and if you back out and try again, it will find them. Also prefer a keyboard to if i enable the password to main system. When the signal is good, they operate well day/night.

The Swann system allows you to record and playback video segments on its hard disk. With more expensive Dropcam cameras there is no local recording option. The cheapest 4 camera Dropcam recording option is $400 per year. So Dropcam is more expensive to buy and to use. The Dropcam allows you to invoke image enhancement (magic wand symbol) after digitally zooming in. I wish Swann had that great feature. The Amcrest system I bought was returned after I struggled for more than a day with terrible documentation and hard to understand foreign support people. Amcrest sells higher resolution cameras (4 megapixel) than Nest or Swann but if you can't get the system to record and playback it is not a good deal.

Needed a home security system. Unwrapped and follow directions which are ok (it did take me researching online to get the system working as there was some confusing directions). 1 of 4 camera didn't work. I called customer service to get just that 1 camera replace. This was awful.I work with 1st service agent for 1 hour trouble shooting (even tough I had already trouble shouted prior to calling). I was getting very frustrated at this point.I was told to call back in 1 hour to talk to level 2 customer service where I would be given a replacement. I called back and he wanted to do more trouble shooting. At this point I hung up and returned the item.SummaryOk equipment (although not as simple as OOSSSXX security system which I bought after this episode). One of the worst customer service.

Camera view was not what I expected. Put one at my front porch and I couldn't see the porch! I needed one that has a wider view. Good camera, easy set up, just not what I needed.

The video is nice and clear, when it's there. The screen on all four cameras goes black and says Video Loss about 40% of the time. All 4 cameras are set up for motion detection, but I never get any e-mail alerts. I called customer service a bunch of times. Useless. They are reading from a book or a screen and don't really know the systems. I've done everything they say with no improvement. Looking for a better system now.

Easy to set up,,it either HMDI or VGA cables don’t connect , try other cable , that could be your problem, but no big deal. Downside, I keep getting video loss on one or more screens.
