Star Wars: Secrets of the Galaxy Deluxe Box Set

Quality was great. No scuffs or scratches in shipping. Books are great quality and no issues with the spines coming undone. Pretty good stories if you are just dabbling in the Star Wars universe. Worth the read.

Have you ever wondered what was in the Storm Troopers employee handbook? What about the origins of the Sith, or the Jedi path? Or the bounty hunter's code? Beyond the Mandalorian "This is the Way" creedo, these tomes offer an in-depth behind the scenes look into the history of these 4 critical star wars character arcs that are a must-have in any Star Wars fan's collection. Even includes margin notes from some of your favourite characters, as if you were reading through one their own textbooks!

This is a set of essentially four handbooks, one given to Jedi Padawans, one for the Imperial Academy troops, one for members of the Bounty Hunter's Guild, and one that is really a written Sith history. They do not read like novels, more like instruction manuals, codes for the members of the intended audience to live by, etc. In the margins, there are notes by different characters making comments on the text, that range from Luke, Han, Boba Fett, Palpatine, Anakin, and later as Vader, Ashoka, etc. The books are relegated to "legends" status and not a part of the official canon material, but certainly, some of the material in them are tied to canon events, so they are kind of a hybrid between non-canon and canon material. They are all relatively short (about 160 pages each), and for the most part, are quick reads. The one drawback is that the "handwritten" notes in the margins can be very hard to read, both because the text size is small, and because it was made to look like handwriting, very messy. They are not what I would call a must-read, even for die-hard Star Wars fans, but they are entertaining.

Al principio me llegó en un estado pésimo, libros rotos y con golpes, la caja exterior todas las esquinas dobladas/metidas para dentro, contacté con Amazon y me enviaron otro, este por suerte sí que esta en perfecto estado, sin ningún golpe y al final todo se ha solucionado bien. El producto en sí es impresionante, cualquier fan de Star Wars debería tenerlo. 10/10

Beautifully presented and far more engaging than I expected. My son is over the moon with them.
