Garfield's Thanksgiving [VHS]

I'm not sure if there was a malfunction on my disc but the opening scenes were oddly re-edited. Normally, it starts with Garfield being awoken by The Binky The Clown Show, followed by the opening credits where Garfield sings a song I'm calling "This Is The Night". In this release, as soon as you hit play, Garfield starts signing his song, then it clumsily cuts back to the opening scene where Garfield is asleep and is woken by the Binky show.Everything else seemed to be the same, the picture is clear but some of the colors appear a little washed out. I think they need to go back to the actual source and remaster it.I recommend you save your money and just look for the 2004 version on eBay. It doesn't look at clean but at least it's not oddly edited.

Arrived as pictured and played in my blu ray player as expected. No HD or Re Mastering done to this special but the audio and video quality is as bright, clean and clear as one could expect from an 80's spacial. Of the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas specials this is my 2nd favorite. Garfield's Christmas being my favorite Garfield holiday special (Grandma is in the Thanksgiving and Christmas shows, wish she was in the Halloween episode too).This disk has two shows.1. Garfield's Halloween Adventure.2. Garfeild goes to Hollywood.This is in the running to my favorite specials along side Peanuts Holiday specials. I highly recommend this to anyone/everyone and am so thankful to have this in my video library.

I'm slightly disappointed. This has been my favorite halloween show since I was a kid. It is extremely hard to find, so I was very excited when I found it after looking on amazon for a few years. The disk plays the halloween special, but the first 2 scenes play in the wrong order. The first 3 minutes of the show is messed up, but the rest of the show is fine. I ordered another copy just in case mine was a fluke, but both copies have the same defect.

I bought this as a gift for my dad because, back when VHS tapes were the only way to watch movies, this was the one we would watch every Halloween. I have to admit, some scenes still creep me out a little, but this is such a funny movie. My family and I quote a lot of lines from this movie. So, it's a lot of fun having those memories back in our lives. The dvd arrived quickly, and was undamaged. I had no issues with this seller at all.

I haven't seen this special in YEARS!!! At least I have something else to watch besides "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown." I remember seeing this special once or twice on CBS, then POOF, no more. Thank god I found it. And highly recommend it for anyone.

This movie has been a Halloween tradition in our family since I was a child but our previous copy (VHS) is outdated and quite frankly in rough shape. This DVD will last more years to come! Great quality (for an old animation) and looks brand new.

Purchased for my 6 year old and I to watch during fall and Halloween time together, hard to find Garfield at any retail store.

This Classic Retro Gem is an absolute for everybody !!! I used to watch this as a kid every single Halloween and this brought back so many awesome memories!!!!! Plus I showed my 8 yrs old daughter and now it's a family classic year round!! Thank you !! So good to have this in our collection!!!! A must BUY!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We are BIG fans of all things Garfield. Bought this as a Halloween gift. Lots of laughs, Garfield was so sassy and fun, Odie too. Includes a bonus Garfield story too, which was not expected.Good picture and sound quality. Arrived fairly quickly. Reasonable price.Fun for all ages.
