The Redbird lights as they are and at the price will work well for the use intended, adding lights to a bike that does not have them. For me, this was a waste of money. The right side passing light on my Heritage Softail, was bent by a pick-up truck backing into it. The mounting bolt was the damaged part. Harley does not have a replacement for my year. The Firebirds were listed as a replacement, they are not. The mounting bolt is too short to utilize the factory mounts for the turn signals also as this was manufactured in the PRC, the bolt and nut are metric and the nut is larger than the original and will not allow a socket to fit inside the turn signal mount to tighten. As the mounting bolt is too short the conical washers that allow proper aiming could not be used. You get what you pay for here. The overall construct of the light is of a much thinner gauge than the Harley units. V Twin Manufacturing has an ideal replacement but the part number I needed is not available from Amazon and of course costs much more. If you are just adding lights, not replacing factory original, the Redbirds are a good buy.

You pretty much know what you're getting with these housings. The old saying you get what you pay for holds true here. Installation ease really depends on your application. In my case I have an open plate light mount on my fatboy so it will be impossible to hide the wire. The wire goes through the hollowed out mounting bolt. The ground wire for the bulb harnes is riveted to the housing. One ground rivet was loose so I had to press it tight. Very thin gauge metal, plated once. Will pit and scratch easy. The best part is that I ordered 4.5" Harley LED lights that fit in nice with little modification. I used a super strength silicone type of adhesive like caulk (not silicon) that drys crystal clear, around the brim that will ensure the lights wont spin with vibration. Ultimately I am eased with the price but like everything else aftermarket, I had to put some work into this. One more bit of useful info, they will not stand flush if the base you're mounting to extend past the front of the housing. Had to build it up with washers, and they are not adjustable.

They look great and feel sturdy. They look good and feel good(not cheap). They also come with the clip and wires. They do, however wire the ground to one of the rivets in the bucket. And only drill the stud big enough for one 14awg wire to pass through.

Very bright. easy to install.

I used this product on my 1800 VTX with windshield and bolted up to a Honda Light Bar. The fit was good, no windshield clearance problems, wiring was simple, and good quality....however, there is absolutely no adjustment in the housing. A five would have in order if there were an adjustable housing.

The lights are very bright. They were not easy to mount on my Yamaha Road Star 1700 but I got it done and am very satisfied with the results.

Really improved my night visibility with quality LED light bulbs. Fit nice. Nicer ones I'm sure are available at a higher price, but these work well and look good. I need now to replace my regular bike headlight. It looks quite dim in comparison.

Nice Chrome lamp covers, I took one star off because of the cheap screws to use to hold them together on the clamp but overall they're nice light holders, nice Chrome.
