I like that it's made from great ingredients. I was looking for something that had a humectant (e.g., honey) and a mixture to moisturize my hair. I did initially smell the ginger scent. For me, it was practically gone after 30 minutes. The only way to smell it then was to put the hair right up against my nose, and I could barely smell it. The smell was initially strong in that I think I could smell it about an arm's reach away. I used a lot of the product because I have a lot of hair. I also did not mind the smell, but I'm not ginger adverse.This significantly helped moisturize my hair. It even lasted into the next day, and my hair (like always) had very low porosity.On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being none and 10 being supreme, the hold is about a 5 (moderated by the amount). It works much better than other similar products I've used. I think the only two products to do better are an AXE hair paste (9; leaves hair hard), and a Jamaican Castor Oil Strong Hold Gel by Shea Moisture (variable but usually 6). If you look at those products, the contents practically resist movement inside the container when shaking (lol).Overall, this product is very good. Left my hair feeling soft and shiny, and a hold just good enough to allow touching without moving in a light breeze. I will it buy again.

It smells nice but even after squooshing out the crunch, it made my hair knotted and it felt extra dry. I ended up giving it away after 2 uses. I have found something that works better for my 3a hair texture, with flax seed in it.

I really like this gel. It’s slippery and light weight, but has a pretty good hold. I pair mine with some mousse afterwards. It has a sweet smell that I really enjoy.

I’m obsessed with this product. I have wavy hair and this gel makes my waves bounce and look so soft and beautiful. It scrunches out easily and smells amazing! This will forever be my go to gel.
