Best Book Stand I Bought
I really wish I found this product earlier. After receiving this product and using it, I can clearly see why this product have such an unrealistically high rating. Let me be clear, it deserves such high rating and I would give higher if I could. 1) First of all, this book stand is durable. I haven't personally put extremely heavy books on it yet. However, I've tried to put the following items and it proves to be sturdy enough to handle these: a full 1" binder, children's book, tablets. Out of all these items, the heaviest is my 1" binder. Do note that I bought the smallest size of the book stand and it worked fine for all of these items. 2) Secondly, this book stand is light! It can support things several times its weight. It doesn't slide because of the rubber stubs. 3) Another feature it has is that it offers so many different angles. Usually products like this only offer a handful of angles, but this product offers 13 angles! (The product description has a typo. They put 15 because of 2 extra ridges, but I honestly think the 2 ridges are meant for aesthetics. Also, it could be 14 angles if you count flat as one of them.) 4) This part has to be my favorite. It has wired page holders. It has a rubber(?) tip so it doesn't damage the page and prevents slipping. It's a spring so it holds the page pretty tightly. It is a thin wire, so I don't recommend using the wire to hold the book's weight (because that's not its purpose!). Mine haven't snapped yet, but we'll see. 5) This is not only a book holder, it can hold laptops, too! I don't recommend the smallest size book stand for laptops. I haven't personally tried this yet, but I do believe it could withstand laptops based on what I've seen the small book stand can do. It has a special angle adjustment at the bottom made just for laptops, so the piece doesn't stick out if your laptop is thin. 6) For something that is so durable, it could be folded and carried around easily. You have to study at the library? Bring this with you! You are cooking and need to have the recipe book opened? Use the page holder! You need ergonomic angle for laptops? Use any of the angles that makes your hands feel comfortable! I had to order again after using it for the first time. I figured that this will be a useful gift for my niece and cousin who are still in school. (Of course, I'm not giving away mine, because I'm using it.) Summary: I recommend this product for everyone. It support books, tablets, and laptops with different angles. It has wired page holders that works great without ruining the pages. The whole thing is light compared to the weight it can support. I never experienced any slipping problems. I might get more in the future.

Best stand I've used for school (portable) and home (permanent). I own 3 now!
I have had two of the 12.8" versions for a few years now and they still work great. I use them on the computer desk, at school, and at my writing desk. I just ordered the 11.5" version and it is even better for school because the smaller size fits better in my backpack, yet is just as sturdy as the others. Be sure you order this version that has the back piece that looks like a butterfly and has "NICE productions.com" on it, since I cannot vouch for any other version. I have used the bookstands that are metal wire and they are flimsy and can't hold the pages open. This model is 10 times better. PROS: sturdy, holds the pages, relatively light, adjustable, has lasted for a few years now and nothing has broken. it's portable / travel worthy. low cost. CONS: NONE! honestly, I have no complaints at all. although for perfection I'd say some improvements could be: lighter (imagine a thin metal plate instead), and possibly smaller for portability (10"?). CONCLUSION: great product, great price. buy it. buy two. buy one for each student in the house!

Amazing product. A must-have for readers.
Have you ever bought something that made you say "where have you been my whole life?"... This was one of those products for me. I can finally read without having my hands cramp up from holding the book. I can read while I eat my breakfast. I can use it in the kitchen to hold the cookbook or my Kindle Fire to watch cooking videos while I work. It also holds my clip-on book light nicely. It's a game-changer and I foresee myself spending many, many hours with it. I bought the largest one (15.6 x 10.4 inches) but I'll probably end up getting a small one as well for when I'm reading paperbacks. I've included several photos in my review. I've tried several different things to give you an idea of this stand's abilities and possible shortcomings. The thickest book I have is a leather-bound Shakespeare collection that's just under 3" thick. This stand handles it with ease. I was concerned about its ability to hold such a thick book when it is turned to the first few or last few pages, but as you can see in the photo, it's not really a problem, however, the springy arms struggle a bit to manage the thick side. It still works though. I'm also not concerned about the weight of the book since the stand feels very stable and could handle much more than this book. The rubber feet on the bottom of the stand hold it in place nicely as well. Next, let's look at smaller books. I used my paperback copy of 1984 for this which is 4" wide and 7.5" tall. The arms were almost too far apart to handle the book and it might be a little cumbersome to use them for books of this size. This is why I'm going to buy the smaller version of the stand for when I'm reading paperbacks like this. I also tried a medium-sized book: one of the "B&N Classics" paperbacks which measure roughly 5" wide and 8" tall and it worked very nicely for this size of book and the arms had no trouble reaching up to the middle of the page (vice having to be at the bottom of the page for the smaller book). Lastly, some people have asked if it can hold individual sheets of paper. There is a very slight gap between the backboard and the support board. I placed a sheet on there and one corner fell partway through. However, you can use the clips to hold the paper in place so it still works for individual sheets, you just have to use the clips. Anything thicker than a single sheet should be fine even without the clips. It can hold an index card without the clips. Also, don't think that this stand is only for traditional books. I've been reading my Kindle with it and it's just as good for that. I haven't used it in the kitchen yet, but I get a lot of recipes from videos and I'm looking forward to being able to prop up my Fire on it while I cook. Another thing that concerned me before buying this was that the support in the back is plastic. I was afraid that it would be flimsy and easily broken, but it's thick, sturdy plastic and I do not worry about that at all. The board itself has a sort-of hard vinyl feeling with wood grain texture. It feels similar to laminate flooring planks. I would like it if there were a "luxury" model that used real wood, but to be honest this one will probably hold up better than real wood. Overall, I'm very, very pleased with this product and now I look forward to reading even more. If I were in a classroom that required me to look at a textbook, I wouldn't dream of going to class without one of these to prop up the book.

Useful and sturdy bookstand
SUMMARY: This is a great product. it is sturdy, light, and holds pages in place. DETAIL: Unlike some similar products, the bottom holders (to keep the pages in places) are fully adjustable to different angles, which makes it easy to use for different sized books. There are also many options for the angle of the back piece. I was specifically looking for these two things, so I didn't care whether the back can be raised or lowered (which some bookstands offer). If I want the stand higher, I just put it on top of something, like a stack of books.

Happy with this purchase!
This bood stand has already proved its worth. I nerded out and took it to the library because it is so useful that I don't even care how ridiculous it looks to set it up. It has alleviated my neck pain and gives me more desk space to work. I generally keep the big books on this and two smaller reference books on either side and my laptop in front. It is very convenient to see all of them at once while I am studying. I am a grad student in a medical program that requires the use of very large textbooks that I "lift with my legs" so that I do not hurt my back. This stand hold them in, which was pretty surprising to me even though it seems to be constructed very well. When I am reading in the very beginning or end of the book, one of the springed holders struggles to get on top of the page, but it does hold a large amount before it has this problem and I really don't think there is a realistic solution to this (other than making a friend hold the page down manually). They are perfectly tightened to be useable without forcing them, and hold heavy textbooks in place. The large books will even stay without their use, which I sometimes do if I'm flipping back and forth constantly to find info. I love the many different angles that I can adjust it to and the back piece feels sturdy enough to last under the weight of my books. Even though it seems well made, it is relatively lightweight and doesn't add much to my backpack, especially when compared to my textbooks. It was definitely worth the money and I would recommend it to any student who has to do a lot of reading, especially if from multiple books at once, or if hunching over a book flat on your desk is getting painful.

LOVE! Right out of the box!
Right out of the box and I am in love with this bookstand! This stand is perfect in form and function, something you don't see a lot of anymore. A great deal of engineering went into designing this item. So let's look at it step by step ... 1. - It packs nice and flat. I would not have any problem slipping this into my briefcase or into a desk drawer for that matter. The bottom bookrest takes a bit to learn to use correctly, but once you see what they were going for, you see how clever and simple the design is ... and it works flawlessly. 2. - The "legs" in back. Again, form and function come togetheer. There is a bottom stand that sits on the surface you prop the book up on that is equipped with rubber feet to keep everything in place. That part is spring loaded, which comes in handy to keep everything together when not in use. Then there is the brace stat swings down from the top. It locks securely into the rack on the legs. The spring in the legs keeps the brace secured into the rack so you can lift the stand with a book or not, up and move it around without everything coming apart. Another PLUS+ in my book. 3. - The page holders on the front. Well thought out and executed design. There is a little detent on the front that keeps them out of the way and secure when not in use. Plus there is just enough tension to keep things secure, even on what I think would be the most windy days. I would even trust my tablet to be held tight without messing up the screen with the page holders. 4. - Finally, the finish of the wood surface. What some people might see is rough, I see as an added bonus. The wood is not sanded and polished to a reflective shine. Te surface still shows the grain and texture of the wood and because of that, I feel, grips the cover better than something slick and shiny. So the question would be ... would I buy it again or reccomend it to others? YES!!!! In fact I am thinking about buying another so my wife doesn't steal this one. ;) BestBookStand Nice Production INP-101-O Book Stand (Bookstand / Bookstands / Holder / Cookbook / Music)

I got this Aug 26th, 2017 and STILL love this thing!
I love this thing..but I am an idiot and didn't read the instructions until AFTER.. but, the screws are in place and I thought you had to loosen them with a screw driver before adjusting...which you Do Not have to and are NOT supposed to. So, needless to say..when I turned the screw to loosen and re-tighten, it stripped the screw a bit, and one of the screws is now a little bit loose and it won't completely tighten all the way..however..it still works perfectly, and I still highly recommend this! Also, like everything I purchase..I do a ton of research, read reviews, and compare soo many different models of whatever I am interested in purchasing. (Cautiously, of course..because as most of us know, companies hire people to hype up their products on Amazon which sucks and majority of us, the good honest consumer) Let's just say that I feel like I looked at a Million different kinds of these things to find the right one for me, that didn't lack in quality and had the specifications that fit my needs. I wasn't disappointed...because This Thing is AMAZING and I love it!! I'm a medical student, I read/study a ton and this thing works better than I thought it would! Great quality made stand...just don't mess with the screws! haha I usually use it without the page holders because I flip around so much it would be a hassle to keep picking them up, putting them down, and then back away...About the page holders, the spring is kinda heavy duty, they are strong and well made as well, this company took NO Shortcuts! ..but, if you do choose to use them to hold the pages down, you will def have more room because it holds the book down very firmly in place! The pictures I listed is with A&P book, containing 1,300+ pages, and there still plenty of room on the stand. The amount of options to adjust the angle are really convenient too..the angled are numbered 1-13, but there are really 15! It doesn't take up that much room either and I have taken it with me in my backpack with ease. Legs and bottom has the little rubber stoppers(grippers), so it doesn't slide around.. I can't say enough about this bookstand.. I know it is only a bookstand and this review is probably waayy too long..and I apologize because I got this excited for a bookstand!

Ingeniously designed, well crafted, quality materials!
I purchased the INP-101-O Book Stand (which is listed as 11.5 x 8.2 inches). It looks like there are three different sizes of this model, as well as another wooden book stand, and a plastic one. The one I purchased is the smallest of this version. The pictures shown by the listing and present reviewer photos don't do it justice. The look of the main piece looks like unfinished wood, but is more like a laminate with texture mimicking the grains of wood on the front and back. The piece is SOLID. The edges are polished with a clear plastic. With the stand completely folded, it's compact. 1. For reviewers complaining that the screw on the lock/unlock is broken, it's not! It's not intended to stick out past to be moved with your finger. Simply press the stand portion so the pegs slide in their track from locked to unlocked, rotate the stand piece so it's 90 degrees to the main board and move the stand piece so the pegs go back into the locked position on the track. My text sounds like it's really difficult, but really, just move the long strip of wood into place. That's it! 2. On the back, pull down the large flap, and then, pull down the smaller flap to intersect with the large flap so the stand is at the angle you want. 3. Set your book on the stand and set the page holders into place. They have the appropriate tension (holds when you want, moves when you want) and tuck back neatly into the groove. The stand has rubber bumpers in the four corners to keep it from scratching your desk. I can see how the product is stable enough to hold a heavy textbook and not slide across the table. I am very happy with my purchase and am well pleased this item exceeded my expectations!
