Bit of a mixed review. The screen itself is sturdy and the design is very cool to look at! Our house is all mid-century modern, and it fits right in. We read the reviews before buying and most people complained about the poor paint job. They are correct. It was awful! But we knew we would be okay painting it because we loved the design so much. It looks like it is silver underneath with a gold color coating on top. But it's all mixed and it a horrible paint job. However, (remember I said mixed review?) for us it works, as we like our things to look old and used, as though it came straight from the 50's or 60's. So we love it as is, but for someone looking for a nice finish, this isn't it.

The finish description says "textured gold finish", however the finish is really just gold in some places, silver in some places, and no finish at all in other places. The pictures were taken while in the box, because I immediately reboxed the screen for return.

Love the style! Feet are tiny so could be knocked over easily. One hinge was missing a pin so we had to rig it to make it work. Keep in mind the size length is when it is stretched out. You will want it the sides to angle back. I didn’t think about that. So, it barely covers my fire box. Looks pretty though!

Product arrived with top frame scratched. Would appreciate the Seller to supply paint so we can touch it up instead of sending it back

The hinges were bent (making it impossible to assemble) and the finish was worn off in some places. It’s going back. Unfortunate because it would have looked great.

The screen was eye catching and required zero assembly. Not heavy but heavy enough. I loved how it updated the room instantly. Great for the money in that it makes a statement for low cost and does what is required to ...protect.

Great product that came just as it looks. Adds a touch of elegance to my fireplace!
