Not exactly mind blowing
I'm not really a gamer, but I do know all about computers. This computer takes longer to cold boot, than my 12-year-old Lenovo yoga (Windows 10). If you just suspend it, it takes longer to wake back up as well.The battery? Well I can play a very old game of "age of mythology" on one charge, and that is absolutely it. About an hour and a half of battery life, while processing software made 20 years ago.The fans that run on this laptop are almost as loud as the speakers, and if you actually have it on your lap, it's almost too hot to leave there for long.Once you install all of the 3rd party software (that wasn't pre-installed) then you can change colors on the keyboard and all of that fancy stuff.It is very well built and sturdy. And if it is plugged in the whole time, it will play modern games pretty well.I guess I was expecting more for such an advanced chipset compared to what I was using before. Maybe this laptop should just be the guts of your system. Connect a mouse and keyboard and big monitor, and let the laptop be the muscle.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER SCAM
The laptop was received defective, CPU overheats to 100 degrees and crashes instantly after just starting up any video game. The battery dies almost immediately after leaving it unplugged, sent it back in the same condition I got it in and they gave a refund of 60% the initial price of the laptop to pay for their mistake. To this day still working on getting my full money back. Do not buy from this seller

Great laptop
There’s nothing about this laptop I dislike. It’s a great computer for a great price.Plays all the games in my collection with ease and speed. Love it!

Battery sucks!
The battery sucks on this laptop drains too fast! All I was doing on it is my school work 30 minutes to a hour and it’s at half of a battery! I haven’t play any games on it yet and, this laptop consider a gaming laptop! I wonder how long battery will last playing a game lol!

Great new Alienware
I’ve had a 17 R4 for many years now. It was a great laptop for the time and still is, but the new games have left it in the dust. This new one is fast, powerful, and a decent bit more transportable than my old one. So happy with it.

So far no problems. Very capable gaming laptop
Set up was easy games run smooth what else can you ask for. The only thing that wasn’t impressive was the My Alienware App. Keeps saying update in process and errors out with connect to the internet.

The fan is so so so loud.
Why?! Why does this have to be the loudest computer in the world. The fan is always on and it’s super loud.
