LEGO DUPLO Town 6136 My First Zoo Building Set

Bought this for our 2-year old grandson while he was visiting for a weekend and making his first trip to the zoo. This was a real hit with him. The blocks are just the right size and he enjoyed building his own zoo after experiencing the real thing. He loved the animals that came with the set and carried the giraffe to bed. Lots of detail in this set; a great value for the price!

I Bought this set for a family member and love the animals! I was afraid a 20 month old may not be able to pull the blocks apart but she has no trouble at all. She loves the car that comes with this set; that was a selling point for me.

I bought it by mistake, and I did nt pay attention to the price! it was very expensive!! I thought I bought it 27$ but it was 276$!!!!!!! a small lego 276$???? what the hell!!!!

Initially I planned to purchased basic Leggo's for my Grandson. Once I saw this, and read the very favorable reviews, the purchase of My First Zoo was a no-brainer. All 3 grandsons love it, and continue building with it creatively for at least a couple hours per day. Thank you Leggo Duplo!! :)

I purchased the Lego Duplo Town as a gift for my 3 yr old grandson.He adored this set,his favorite was the little farm animals.The set includes to many accessories we were able to play for hours.He now knows the name of each of his animals,time to buy a new set.Thanks so much for making his day.

This set has some of the best elements . . . a character, animals, the base for a vehicle, a "water" block, flowers, a cube with a door, and a very reasonable number of regular building blocks. The gates can connect two elements, or swing from side to side of hooked only on one end. The first thing we made with this set was a parking garage for a giraffe car. The elephant holds a pitchfork and he made a great "janitor" for our parking garage. You could also make a drive-through with the door cube that serves steak and fish (elements provided with the set, including the car). One sign block reads "zoo" and the character's uniform reads "zoo," but this set can make much more.

Daughter has fun with it

I got this for my 3-year-old daughter and she loves it. She will happily play for with this set for long spans of time, and she is happy to play it either with us (parents) or independently. There are enough pieces to where she can really get creative and build things other than just what's shown on the box. The pieces are also the perfect size for her to manipulate. She was getting really bored with the giant 'baby' legos she had, but I felt she was too small/young for real legos. This Duplo set is the perfect compromise for us and a good transition into 'real' legos later on. I definitely recommend this lego set for toddlers.
