Delivery was prompt. I was a bit apprehensive having looked at some reviews where the removal tool was thought to be ineffective and the glass cover broke when the oven was used. However the removal tool is robust and fitted and worked perfectly. I had tried to remove the glass by hand and it wouldn’t budge but the tool made removal easy. When the glass did come off it was cracked in several areas and I’m glad I didn’t try to force it by hand since it could have broken and caused a nasty injury. New bulb and glass fitted and worked well but I screwed the glass in by hand and did not use the tool. I think this avoids the problem of the new glass cracking. Don’t screw it in too tight, just light hand turn. Tested with oven taking temperature up and down in steady steps and no problems.

Excellent product and the adapter is of hard quality plastic that perfectly fits the Bosch glass cover for removal. Handy to have a correct new bulb and glass cover . HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍🏼

This outfit will do the job in many cases, but in stubborn cases like mine a bit of modification is necessary. The bulb cover removal tool is a bit flexible and the fit may need tightening. You can tighten the fit by taping a couple layers of Duck Tape around the inside of the tool (thanks to another reviewer for this tip). Also it might help to use some WD40 with a straw applicator to apply some oil around the rim of the of glass cover where it screws in. I eventually got my cover off, the bulb supplied in this kit appears slight larger (longer) than the original but still fits. When you put back the glass cover don't over tighten it - I learnt that the hard way! Overall, a decent enough kit as even the Neff original cover removal tool isn't a perfect fit. Saved an engineer visit!

So the trick with this for a Neff oven is not to over tighten. If you do you’ll weaken the glass and it’ll break. If this happens heat the oven to about 120 use the fan so you get the hot air around it. Obviously wear gloves and protect your skin but with pliers you should be able to loosen and remove the glass left behind as the the metal teeth bits should ease up in the heat. Bit an easy job and you’ll need to take the door off. Stick a bit of old garden hose on the end of the pliers for grip. Good luck you have to avoid cuts and burns with this one! Trick is don’t over tighten it!

For £12 I’d have liked it to have lasted longer than 8 weeks. Second time ordering this as the same happened to the first replacement. Easy to install but won’t be ordering again. Total waste of time and money.
