The rope is thinner than I pictured it. But it doesn't matter. It's well made, has a little give so when my dog tries to take off it doesn't just jerk him back. It's really comfortable to hold and looks great! After some use it's held up good. My dog loves to pull and this leash is holding up great. I bought it to replace a ruff wear bungee leash and I prefer this one so much more. I had one incident where my dog shook his ears out and the leash came unclipped from his collar. Luckily I was able to get a hold of him. Would definitely reccommend. And definitely would buy again. For reference I have a 2yr old black lab/pit that is about 65lbs

I don’t usually write reviews, but this leash is such a winner that I wanted to congratulate the company for their outstanding product and give a heads-up to other dog lovers. Having used this leash for several months with our Schnauzer, who gets very excited about walks, I certainly give it the highest marks for comfort and durability, and it is so handsome that everyone comments on it, even his vet and groomer. I’ll never be without at least one of these leashes and wouldn’t have any other brand. Beauty and efficiency: a perfect combination ! The company was excellent to work with, too. Sent my order out right away.

This is an almost perfect leash. The handle is just right, easy to grip and comfortable. The roping is attractive, a good look and low key. Solid. Maxine Pearl and ZoraGrace love to walk in these leashes. No really. They do. I do wish there were about a foot shorter for city walking. You will love this leash and your dogs will too!

The rope leash I bought was for my 105lb Chocolate Lab that likes to pull on a leash. I read all the reviews and felt this was the best one. Well after two times using it, it already has a break in it. Not sure if I got a bad leash, or it's not as strong as it said it was.

This was our third leash as our puppy chewed through the other two. This leash is very durable and our pup doesn't even try to chew it. I will recommend this to others.

If you are looking for a dog leash made with the same high quality rope mountain climbers and sailors use this is the best leash on the market at close to half the price of the major brands. I ordered a blue one and and I liked it so much I just ordered one in grey. My Two English Cream Retriever's shed a lot and with other less quality rope leashes they quickly become covered in dog hair. This is not the case with the smooth finish on the high quality mountain climbing rope. My wife also likes that she can easily attach several waste bags in the webbing near the handle. Bob S

There's a lot to like about this leash, and while not completely happy with it I'll continue to use it. The loop handle is fine, but not padded or gripped like some similar leashes. The loop just below the handle is convenient to clip keys, sanitizer, or a bag dispenser. Nice looking and seemingly pretty sturdy and well made. Got this to upgrade in length from our 4 foot leash, which was a different brand, similar style. The 4 foot was much sturdier, thicker, and heavier, which I liked. Hoped that this would be as heavy duty as described, but I was disappointed. It's quite light and slim, which is my biggest criticism. If that won't bother you, it's an otherwise fine leash.

Great leash for puppies. Our five month old pup had chewed through two previous leashes but after a few weeks with this one has had no success! The handle is also very sturdy and comfortable for long walks. The color we received was slightly darker than the light blue in the photo, but it's still a close enough match to the collar we also purchased.
