Confortable
They do their job, adapting well to my ears and allowing me to use them for longer than the original ones did. Might get a bit hot after some time but to be honest I can use it for hours without having a headache.

Great replacement for stock audio technica leather ear cups, much comfier, fits nicely and is more breathable. I am not sure how it will wear over time but the stitching is firm and seems like it will hold up. 5/5

I needed better earpads for my Superlux HD661 headphones. Although it's not stated as suitable for the HD661, similar size headphones are listed. I took a chance and ordered them. Well, they do fit and are vastly better than the supplied pads. They are also bigger than the originals so feel even better over your ears. My first listening session lasted a few hours without even noticing time passing. That never happened before because I was always aware of a pair of ill fitting, sweaty phones clamped to my head. There is no manual adjustment in the fit of this model of Superlux. A pair of rubberised wings are supposed to apply downward pressure on the head but do not really do much in reality. Now with the Brainwavz fitted the wings work and apply just enough pressure to hold the phones exactly where you place them over your ears. You can improve matter further by applying a mod mentioned by another reviewer. Roll a sheet of kitchen paper into a tube (roll around a pencil or something similar). Then push it into the gap between the foam pad and the integral black fabric that protects the driver. This will make the pads even deeper and more comfortable. The Brainwavz do seem to alter the sound for the better. HD661's are a little lite on bass but the Brainwavz seem at add a little weight to bass. These earpads are well worth the asking price.

Philips SHP9500 I have bought these for my Philips SHP9500 and they are amazing. It doesn't mention that they are compatible with the Philips but they work you can follow directions from youtube link by searching both product names (wouldn't let me link it directly) since there is a bit of a process to it. Pro -Comfort is improved considerably -Sound remains excellent. -Increases clamp force just enough to make the headphone feel planted, but not tight. -You can wear them for hours without a hint a fatigue. -The material is softer than the stock pad material, further improving the comfort. Cons -Only con is the difficulty in installing the pads on the Philips, but they weren't designed for the headphone so I can't hold it against the pad. Audio Technica ATM M40x I have these same pads in velour for my Philips SHP9500 and they are amazing! Now, I have the pleather pads for my Audio Technica ATH M40x. My product review will mainly focus on these pads in relation to the M40x headphone. Pro: -Larger and deeper pads mean your whole ear is covered and will not touch the speaker like they do with the stock pads. -Comfort difference is night and day compared to the uncomfortable and too shallow stock pads. -Easy to put on, takes less than 5 minutes even when it's your first try. -Significantly changes the overall look and feel of the headphone, makes it seem like it’s worth more than it is. -Improves the soundstage of the headphone. -Despite the beefier pads, the headphones still fit perfectly in my co2CREA case. Con: -Like others have said audio is affected by the pad change. The bass is slightly less pronounced, but not gone from the music. I think if you choose valor instead of pleather than the bass will disappear completely, so keep that in mind. That said, I found increasing the volume brought back some of the bass and missing sound. The reason for this is simply your ears are not resting on the speaker so you need to increase the volume to compensate. -Driving the headphones from your phone might require a portable amp to really push into the high decibels, but I could drive my music at a pretty high volume without feeling like I will have to buy one. Verdict: I would still recommend these pads Tip: -Some sound issues may occur from the type of material you choose, velour vs pleather, but it might also have to do with a thin layer of foam that goes between the pad and speaker. When you remove the stock pad also remove the thin layer of acoustic foam and put it in your new HM5 pads before install. -Some people complained of the pads being difficult to install. To ensure this doesn't happen with your own install gently pre-stretch the HM5 pads beforehand. Then decide where you want the seam, either at top or bottom, then start from their gently pushing from the inside of the ear cup out to stretch the material. You may also have to pull the pleather from the outside as you go along, going back and forth between a push and pull method until it seats. Installing HM5 pads on the Philips was pure hell but the M40x was a breeze. The M50x may be harder to install pads on based on how much larger it in comparison to the M40x. ~~the skin of the headphone is a Dbrand mahogany vinyl wrap.
