Great specialty clamp, especially handy for short planks, drawer faces and smaller panels.
This is really a specialty clamp, and for what it does and the quality, it's a solid 5 stars. It's a great addition to my woodworking bench vise - I wind up using that vice for way more than it was designed for. This Kreg vice takes it's place when I need to secure medium-sized items I'm working on (sanding, staining, other finishing work.) Long items can stand on the floor and are secured from falling over or shifting. Drawer faces, small shelves, etc. can rest on the stops. There are also two bench dogs included (3/4" holes) so you can use this clamp in combination with those for larger items.The blue aluminum base is heavy and thick - 1/4"! The T slots are the universal size. This also means that you can use the clamp with any universal rail/bar. However, the clamp won't fit Incra T-slots (not a standard size) - I tried. The clamp can be mounted to steel or wood - mounting hardware included. The screw or nut heads are fully countersunk.Kreg offers the clamp individually for around $40 - so for the extra $$ you're getting the heavy-duty base, stops and dogs.I have one minor complaint - the knurled nuts that hold the stops in place are plastic. I can see these wearing out pretty fast, but you can pich up steel or brass ones pretty cheap.

Great product. Very aesy to install and use
Works great. I bought another clamp and it is even better. Should come with 2 clamps. Seems kreg is one of best systems out there.

Kreg got it right
I ordered 2 of these in lieu of a moxon vice or conventional vice, because it would all get in the way of my torsion box assembly table and I didn’t want to run into the thing. These are low profile, the clamping pressure is great and super easy to install.

Kreg Automaxx bench clamp
I'm very pleased with the Kreg Automaxx bench clamp it works great make some nice clamp for holding wood as you're doing work on it haven't used the bench dog yet don't know if I want to drill holes in the top of my new bench
