Rain drums are a must have. The amount of "loud" "noisy" and "overwhelming" kid toys out there that you wish the batteries would die or the you would "break" or "disappear".... this js definitely not one of these. The random banging on the drum doesn't cause terrible sounds. It doesn't make your head ache or your nerves shot. It's calm. It's peaceful. And it draws in the attention of your children and even your spouse who could sit and just play. It comes with a songbook, too, which is so fun for my oldest. These are the perfect size, too. Perfect for on the go, lounging around or just occupying time.

This thing is super fun to play around with, and the sound is magical. I'm so glad I bought it. Took one star off because the included song book is not accurate on all the songs. At least one song had the wrong notes listed, but I was able to figure out how to play that song myself. Also, half the songs were not familiar to me. But besides that, it's a great little instrument!

Beautiful instrument! We purchased this for our 2-year-old granddaughter and, on Christmas Day, this was the very first gift she went to! She, immediately, began playing it with two mallets and the loveliest sounds were produced! By the end of the day, ALL the adult family members had played on it, as well. It comes beautifully packaged and the quality is very good - the purple is true to the photo. VERY pleased with this purchase and a great price, too!!

I absolutely love the packaging and for me when my son opened the box I expected the drum to be nestled in just like the mallets were and it was but what I’m saying is, I wasn’t expecting to see the drum already tucked in the bag that it comes with and he hasn’t learned how to play actual music on it yet. It’s just The note that he strikes with that melon are beautiful no matter what order he hits them in. We have a porch garden and so he goes out there and plays to the plants. He’s very sensitive and very easy to get upset because he had such a big heart and he cares so much about everything. I’m not even kidding. I say this because the first thing we tell him my husband is to go get your drum and get your eye. He calms down after the first couple of notes. I’m thinking of getting the other one in C Major. So overall, I’m my end of the spectrum. It’s a precious gift. Thank you.

I purchased this for a 9 year old who loves music. I am so happy with it, the child loves it! It is louder than I expected but it is not in an annoying way ~

There are sure to be 'more perfect' sounding Tongue Drums around, but this one is easy to understand. It covers each major note in a single Octave, plus a couple of notes that sort of extent the range a little. I've wasted so much time tapping out little tunes, picking out remembered melodies, that I relax even more than I do picking melodies out on my guitars. I would like one that goes further outside the octave, but for the moment I'm really enjoying (relaxing with ) this one. Quality seems fine as far as price/value goes.

Me gustó mucho, es de buena calidad pero dado su tamaño es un poco agudo, así que funciona genial para niños o para trabajar con niños, no precisamente para estados meditativos profundos con adultos. Me pareció una muy buena forma de empezar a conocer y tocar este tipo de instrumentos.
