Expensive but works
I've had poor past experiences with non-HP 97 color cartridges so I sucked it up for an OEM. It arrived as ordered, no damage, easy insertion, no past expiration, and it works well. The color quality is back to my printer and my computer software recognizes it as an authentic HP cartridge so the ink levels gauges are once again visible.

Hard to beat the original cartridge.
We've used the printer for about 10 years and it just keeps going and going. This cartridge provides the best print quality and longest life of any that we've used. Unfortunately it is also the most expensive.

Pricey but still the better bargain
The real HP deal does make a difference. The colors are true, crisp, clean and do not bleed, regardless of paper type. I've used refilled color cartridges and have been disappointed in both the color quality and the length of time the refilled cartridges last. This one lasts much longer so in the long run, it becomes cheaper to use. And, like its black ink counterpart, the toner cartridge, when running low, can be removed and gently shaken and placed back into the printer - it will continue to print until the new cartridge arrives. At least it has worked that way for me. My printer likes this cartridge so I do, too.

HP original ink...the only way to go
HP ink is the best for their printers and after trying the replacement inks, which are a flip of the coin if the printer will even operate with them, I was happy to find them back in stock.

It is Easy to Install and Reliable for Printing
I have used this product since late 2010 and I have found it very easy to install. Once installed it prints flawlessly, and the colors are what I expected. In the past, my ink cartridges have lasted quite a while, but, as you know, that depends on how much and the type of printing you do. But mine on average last me at least 6 months before needing to be replaced. Also, I use my cartridges to the bitter end, because some of my stuff is just draft printing.

Cartridges Do Not Seem to Have Expired
Questions raised in these reviews have had to do with whether the hp-97 ink cartridges being sold might be sufficiently old to affect performance in a negative way and even whether the manufacturer had stopped producing them altogether. The cartridge I just ordered from this page bears a date of April, 2020, on the box. I don't know how long the cartridge will last, but it certainly worked fine when it was installed. At the moment, April, 2020, is about twenty months away, which I suppose suggests a very reasonable shelf life, and that the cartridges are still being manufactured.

Only very light magenta colour print comes out. Is this an old stock? Will not order again.
