Well Made and Works Well
I'm so happy that Craftsman didn't stumble to the grave with Sears. This sturdy tool is typical Craftsman from back when. The strap is thick and strong and also very "grippy" The metal pivot it attaches to seems to give the wrench extra leverage to both tighten the strap and turn the workpiece. I gave one to a friend in her 70's with arthritis to open bottles and jars, and she loves it. Of course it is sturdy enough for much tougher jobs. Everybody needs a strap wrench sooner or later.

It does the job on plumbing fixtures that were never designed to be maintained
Worked on my fancy designer bathroom sink faucet that was designed by someone that has never done ANY repair or maintenance on a house. Cone and curve shaped shiny chrome with not way to grip to tighten of loosen the faucet. This tool did the trick. I just need it for occasional use, so it works for me. It will open jars in a pinch too. Chinese Rubber chemical smell, found in most rubber products these days, was mostly aired out, probably because the packaging was not completely sealed, which is a good thing.

Works for what I needed
I bought this to install a new shower arm in my bathroom (to prevent scratching). Installing the new arm required quite a bit of force to get it in the correct position. Even though I used a lot of force on this tool it held up well.

Works great
Used it to remove exhaust tips that had pressure clamps on the inside so they wouldn't budge using gloves. This wrench made quick work of the task. Seems sturdy enough to loosen pretty much anything, and for $8 it's good value.

Not very Big
A coworker of mine has one that is identical, but triple the size, which is what I thought I was getting. It still works good, just kinda dinky.

Handy little tool
I needed this to be able to remove old shower heads in my new place that were completely rounded - this worked simply and easily. Since then I've also used it to get an oil filter off that was way too tight to get by hand - again, simple, fast, effective. Great buy.

A really versatile strap wrench
This small strap wrench is super versatile. Originally I bought it for replacing handlebar weights on my motorcycle, but found it handy for removing oil filters in cars, replacing bicycle roller axles, opening jars, replacing shower arms, etc. I find that whenever This is the right tool to use whenever you need a good amount of grip without marring an object. I bought one for my sister. Buy one, you won't regret it.

major disappointment and useless
Wrench arrived 2 days ago. Ordered to use on single lever Delta faucet that was leaking. Item is built sturdily. Claimed to have rubber strap for gripping item to be opened. Felt Craftsman pretty much guaranteed efficient usefulness. I guessed wrong in basing my purchase on reviews and statement strap is rubber. Rubber(?) strap is ineffective--actually worthless for what I intended to use for. Strap looks and acts like plastic; the surface that grips is a very smooth surface and like other wrenches I did not order because of non-gripping performance it doesn't perform. The others advertised themselves as plastic. This one I received in an unopened Craftsman blister pack is absolutely worthless for faucet repair....conceivably it might work on a vehicle's oil filter, if you're lucky. Even though not so expensive I would return it through disgust if it didn't mean a trip in these virus times. Ken
