This is a great and affordable set to buy multiples of so that you obtain many great castle pieces. There are many great MOC (My Own Creation) castles out there that utilize this set x3 for example. They are jaw dropping.

Lego is best. Looks like they will be discontinuing this model soon so right now it is about $20 cheaper than normal price. As with all Lego you know it will be durable the instructions will be great and have app for it. 3 in one is great for creating. Makes you want to buy three. Function better than off brand.

I had a lot of fun building this one and got it at a good price on Black Friday. I wish I would've bought 2 while they were cheap!

Big set (1426 pieces). Instructions were good. Nice touches, such as multiple small animals to build (3 chickens, a raven, a mouse, and a falcon), a skeleton in the dungeon, plus the dragon. I like how the set is constructed using modular buildings, then comes together on hinges so it can open up. We only built the large castle but the set includes instructions for alternate builds.Set is labeled 9+, but with adult supervision can be done younger.

I got this for my grandson as he has a school subject of study related to the Medieval times. He's seven years old but has done almost entirely independently large "traditional" Lego sets as well as Technics with over 2,000 pieces. So this was very much in his wheel house. And generally speaking, I think Lego overestimates the difficulty level on many of its sets. In any case, my grandson thoroughly enjoyed this set. I will say that with over 1,400 pieces, the end product is not large. So lots of small pieces that make up the set. But with it being priced at $80 there was still value for the money compared to other Lego sets.

This set is incredible, all of the pieces are high quality, feel good to the touch, and are durable. It comes with lots of extras for the smaller pieces if you lose any and a few fun mini figs. the Set itself has a lot of hidden details that aren't advertised that I loved putting together, the working drawbridge and detailed rooms were some of my favorites. The build is very well planned and the instructions are easy to understand. Ultimately, this set fully holds up to, and even exceeds, the level of quality you'd expect from lego. It's a bit bigger than I expected it to be which was a great surprise, and for the amount of bricks you get this set is priced much better than other sets; This is true especially compared to lego's branded content. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone on the fence about buying it!
