False advertisement; did not die
Killer pads (an odd name for a a product designed to keep you alive) are the sole things keeping my joints intact. I just began inline skating and quickly learned, despite what the internet says, it is not easy on the joints. I have fallen numerous times. Incorrectly, backward, and even just getting up. These pads are not only adjustable (I'm skinny as frick.) They are also quite comfortable. They are about as breathable as a piece of plastic wrapped around your joints can get, incredibly sturdy as well. While I haven't been using them for long time, I sure have given them a beating that they have stood up to valiantly. I got an incredible deal on these, but I would pay double the original price given sturdy they are. Definitely a great value there. Putting these on, they are not as clunky or heavy as they first appear. They keep your joints in a slightly bent position, (the ideal position for skating) but let them move about freely enough. I also love all the color options, but I don't like wearing all those color options, so I got black. All in all, these protective coverings were definitely worth it.

Great
If you are in between sizes, size up! I am at the top of medium and bottom of large. The mediums were a little too small. I feel better in the large. These are way better than the JBMs I had. They have so much cushion. They are great to fall in and protect very well. They're also gorgeous and match my Triple Eight helmet. I haven't had a big fall in them yet, but I will, and I am confident they will protect me and keep from fighting insurance companies.

187 Killer six pack pads are a great entry level pad set for beginner!
The 187 Killer Pads Six Pack Pad Set consisting of Elbow Pads, Knee Pads, and Wrist Guards are the perfect beginner set of pads for anyone interested in learning to skateboard or inline skate. We originally purchased the Triple8's Six Pack pad set the quality is night and day between the two products. Granted the 187 Killer set may be more expensive, but I think it is worth it. The 187 Killer Knee Pads are a sleeve design with additional velcro straps at top and bottom to securely tighten. The 187 Killer Elbow Pads are also a sleeve design with additional velcro straps at top and bottom to securely tighten. In contrast to the Triple8 set which uses just straps to secure to knee, I feel the Triple8 set might slide down or up a leg or arm on impact or scrape exposed skin where the 187 Killer design is covers more skin more securely. The wrist guards are similar design with the plastic impact at the heel of hand extending to the wrist, but the plastic is thicker. Also the cloth material that secures the plastic protection to the hand is better quality with the 187K vs T8. I suspect the mesh webbing of the T8 might be a lot cooler but I think they won't last long as long as the 187K. The padding on the 187 Killer is much thicker and looks more like safety gear than the toyish look and feel of the Triple8. We will keep both, but as my daughter learns to surfskate and has more opportunity to fall, I feel better with her wearing the 187 Killer pads over the Triple8's. As she progresses to skate on the street and is skilled and confident, I think the Triple8 will offer protection for an occassional fall. If she hits the skateparks, bowls or pumptracks she'll probably grab the beefier 187 Killer pads. If I had the opportunity to return the Triple8's I would've but I can't.

Sizing help - between sizes XS and SM
This is really just a review on sizing- if you’re between sizes hopefully this helps. I’m 5’6, 120lb and usually a 0 or 2 in clothing. Size guide based on measurements has me right on the cusp between an XS and a S/M for all three pads. In the pic the red/blue/white is a size XS and the blue and black (Electric Bolt) is size S/M. Short version is that neither set works for me. I can purchase separately but unfortunately neither knee pad worked. The padding is excellent and they appear to be well made- unfortunately just not right for this body. From everything I've read/watched on sizing these pads it's recommended that they feel pretty snug. Once you warm up they'll become more malleable and conform to your body. Also, with time they'll stretch out a bit. So, keeping those suggestions in mind, that's how I determined the correct fit for me. Wrist guards- The S/M fit and are definitely my size. The XS were way too small. I think I'm a size 7 in gloves which is a womans small or medium. My ring finger is a a size 5.5. Elbow pads- The XS fit great, very secure. The S/M were much too loose. I secured them as tightly as possible but that made the velcro straps stick out and snag my clothing. Knee pads- First, the difference in size between the XS and the S/M knee pads is... significant. And, unfortunately, neither knee pad worked for me. The S/M had the coverage I wanted but it was too roomy. Even cinched down below my knee as tightly as possible I had a long strap hanging down to my ankle and I still felt like my knee was swimming in them. The XS fit nice and snug but didn't offer enough coverage- if they had been longer they would have been great. (I watched the 187 video on sizing knee pads and they recommend the knee pad sit one hand width above and one hand width below your knee cap. The S/M is the right length (just not the right width). The XS is too short- closer to 2 or 2.5 fingers above and below my knee cap. I feel like they're made for a shorter person. I'm 5'6", I think you'd need to be shorter than that for the XS knee pads to fit properly. Another thing about the knee pads is that the size and shape of the plastic is different. I expected the size to be different but not the shape. The plastic on the XS knee pad measures 5x5 and is completely rounded with no flat areas- it looks kind of like an elbow pad. The plastic on the S/M measures 6x6, (I wouldn’t think an inch difference would make that much difference but it really does). Also, the plastic is flat on the front and the edges are curved. A feature I see more higher end and pro pads. Fit aside I did a dead fall onto my knees wearing both pads onto a wood floor. Both were very protective. Surprisingly, the shape difference didn’t affect how I landed. I thought my knee would roll in the XS but it didn't. Protection wise these are a big thumbs up. I'm super bummed they don't fit.

Perfect for a crunchy skater
I use it to skate. I had a lot options different than 187 killer pads. Many friends of mine have them. This was my opportunity to try ones and I’m so happy with my purchase. I’m 51 years old skater and I need this kind of quality and protection. By the way the size xl was perfect for me. 180 cms height and 80 kilograms weight
