But glad I purchase it after much comparisons. Still working today and seems accurate data so far. Very handy to have just in case you see or smell something off in the basement or attic. I've had and used this now for over a year.Today when I write reviews I like to do so after several months or at the most when appropriate for the use/utility of the product up to a year of ownership and performance to inform other consumers like they informed me of my purchase--when I would be relying on their reviews for quality and useful products for our house and family. Just paying it forward. Amd this one is worth the price and quality!I bought this along with a pin moisture tester and infrared meter same year last year as new homeowners. This and those others are good to always have to test your household environment for safety and prevent costly repairs. Better to be informed and have data of science in order to be prepared. :-)

EDIT:Company reached out and offered to fix the issue. I asked for a batter, they sent another device + battery.Original review:Device arrived with the battery nearly dead. Low battery indicator was active. By the second day the device no longer works. Now I have to buy a 9v battery, which I don't have any of because most devices don't use 9v these days.They should really ship these things with new batteries; I am not the first reviewer to encounter this issue.

The data logger was received with a defective mini disc that contained the software for setup and use of the instrument. After contacting the vendor, I was able to receive a web link that allowed me to download the same image of the files that were on the disc. This worked much better and allowed full use of the device. 4 stars are given due to the issue with the disc and the vendor not having a way to provide the files via web link in the literature received with the unit.I will be using this logger to record the water pressure readings from a faucet at our house for monitoring changes in pressure over a several day period. The logger suits the job well since it has a settable scale and a resolution of 2 decimal places (e.g., 10 mV resolution). Connected to a pressure gauge, I will be able to record changes in pressure with 0.5 psi resolution, more than enough. And I can set and forget the reading for several days at a time and then plug the logger into my computer to graph the results.

Really excellent for the price! Works accurately for HVAC work and other stuff around my house that I’ve used it for. Would buy it again if I needed another

I gave it 3 stars because it met my expectations for the money. A few cons, none of which are deal breakers:1. Instructions Manual is barely legible and contains only the bare basics. Doing my own research.2. Doesn't define all the symbols & abbreviations3. Back light stays on for 23 seconds. I had to cycle the power button to get the light back on.

After reading all the reviews, I decided to go with the positives and ignore the negatives because what's to lose: Amazon makes returns very easy. Right decision! It took awhile for the device to get calibrated but once it was the readings were right on target and continue to be on target. I'm not at all techy so haven't used the "mode" button very much--actually not at all. That might take a bit of learning, but I'm very happy with this purchase.

Very rapid response to changing conditions. Buttons plainly labeled & logical. Good measurement specs. The number values on the display are large enough to be easily read but the units the numbers represent need a magnifier to be seen. Sensor end needs a protective cap to prevent damage when not in use but otherwise pretty rugged. Have had only 2 weeks and so far so good.

Very hard to read the screen it's so small and the light goes out way before it should it won't stay on seems to be accurate okay but it's just frustrating to not be able to see what's Gale and mowed your on and what the reading is especially with a light goes out you can't turn it on otherwise all good
