To me, if a guitar sounds good and I can create music with it that meets my standards of playability and sound, then it's a good instrument. The same holds true for its components.You don't need to rely upon the romantic cache of big brands (with even bigger prices). Use your ears and I think you'll agree that these pickups do exactly what Wilkinson claims for less than half the price of big-name pickups with comparable output and sound.I put these in one of my recent builds and have only heard positive comments from professional players.You get my point. They're well worth a try. I don't care where they were made (no listener does either). I am extremely happy with them.NOTE: If you try them, upon receipt, check them immediately for functionality. If one doesn't work, send 'em back. They'll replace 'em right away.

I have " up graded " many guitars and I am always looking for something different. These pups are amazing for the money. Yes they are made in China but to American specs. So you get a TON of sound for your money . The build quality appears excellent and the chime and bass are way more than I would have thought. Pickups are well constructed... wax potted with cloth wrapped wires. However; I've bought two sets and both sets arrived with screws improperly sized for the predrilled holes in the pickups. The provided screws are too small and will not secure the pickups. Good pickups, but you may need your own screws.

I love the tone these pickups have. Very similar to the original fender pickup sounds. Definitely getting that glassy "bell" tone that is so loved. Only thing I wasn't a big fan of is the labeling on the pickup covers. I will probably replace those covers with unbranded covers

I have used many sets of affordable strat pickups and this one stands up for itself quite nicely. I would rank the sound quality as being on equal grounds to the Fender Tex-Mex or Deluxe Drive sets, but this one costs half the price of those. They are certainly not the best single coils I've heard, but there is nothing to dislike about them and I would consider them a step up from pickups found in most budget-priced guitars.

I was replacing my Strat pickups, and wanted to upgrade, so I bought this Wilkinson Alnico set. First, the pickup cover holes for the neck and middle do not line up with the coil pins. Second, the coils are cheap like the coils for a 1/4 of the price. Holes for the adjustment screws are just holes, and not a threaded inserts, pure junk!

I wanted to replace the pickups in my squier strat because the guitar itself plays really good, but the pickups were terrible(reading out at 1k Ohms). I typically like higher output pickups for my playing style, I like to push the amp and use a lot of gain. Now, these pickups were reading out from 4.1K to 4.5k depending on the position. I decided to try them out anyways. The pickups, while not high output, sound incredible if you are going for a more vintage sound. They sound great clean, and can do a hendrix sound really well, but they do not push my amp into high gain territory at all. I am pretty sure that I got the wrong set, because they do sound incredible for more vintage sounds, and they have a similar reading to a vintage, lower output set. I just wish I got a higher output set instead, because I am sure that they would be perfect for that.TL:DR: The pickups are not high output, they read out at 4k ohms instead of the advertised 6.5K, but they sound great as a more vintage set. Be aware you may not always get the correct set.

Bought these to rebuild an old parts-caster I had laying around so I could get that classy strat tone to counter my metal oriented Schecter. I chose these 6.4's so they would match my SD stagmag when it was split. They ohm'd out pretty close to spec and sound fantastic compared to the ceramics that they replaced. The only thing I don't like is the colour.... They aren't exactly white, as illustrated in my pictures. The Stagmag is white, these are more off-white/pearl coloured. Great tones for the $$$ though, and sound great running the 5 way auto-split pro mod.

Vorne weg, ich hab nicht viel Erfahrung mit Single Coils. Diese Tonabnehmer hab ich für eine billigst Gitarre (100€) gekauft.Verpackung war super, der Austausch war easy und es war alles dabei was man für einen Wechsel braucht (naja, einen Lötkolben muss man schon zu Hause haben...).Danach natürlich gleich die Gitarre an den Amp angeschlossen und gespielt:Wahnsinn :), für den Preis super Sound (eher etwas wärmer, aber nicht matschig), die drei Tonabnehmer liefern auch den nahezu identen Output. Es ist also praktisch kein Lautstärkeunterschied feststellbar.Zum Output noch: ich hab auch eine Les Paul mit DiMarzio Humbucker Tonabnehmern (100€/Stk.) - die liefern nicht mehr so viel mehr Output.Der Sustain ist natürlich geringer als bei den Humbuckern, aber ob das einfach allgemein an den Single Coils liegt oder speziell an diesen kann ich mangels Erfahrung nicht sagen.Natürlich auch nicht, ab wann es sich lohnt die bestehenden Tonabnehmer gegen diese auszutauschen.Bei den Billig-Gitarren (<300€) wird es sich ziemlich sicher lohnen.

WilkinsonのHigh Outputセラミックを使ってみましたが、ハイパワーと謳っている割に非力でクランチさせてもイマイチなのでこちらも買って見ました。アルニコVはクラシックなサウンドとハイパワーを兼ね備えているPUが多いんですが、コレまたパワー無いですね。悪くは無いです、入門機搭載のPUよりは数段良いですが、ごく普通のクラシックなストラトサウンドです。
