I bought this for a 1982 Honda GL1100.The parts looked similar to stock. The spring supplied looked slightly different - slightly longer, slightly more tapered, but worked fine. (The old spring could have been deformed from age.) The kit did include everything to rebuild the wearable components in the metal part of the front master cylinder.However, if I was going to do this again, I'd probably buy a replacement reservoir in addition to this kit. Mine is nearing 40 years old, and the plastic is showing its age. The replacements are relatively inexpensive. At the very least, I'd buy a replacement o-ring for the bottom of the reservoir, which is not included in this kit.

I used this on my 2005 CBR600 F4i front brake master cylinder. Before, the lever pulled in very rough and notchy due to rust and wear. Now it feels very smooth. This kit does not include the piston, which is fine because it's reusable. If you can't remember which way the rubber ring faces on the piston, look up pics of kits that do include the piston.

I got this for an 82 Virago. The spring was an inch longer than the one that came out of the master cylinder. The rubber part that attached to the spring was too large and would not go into the cylinder. Neither did the rubber part that goes on the plunger. This did not fit my unit. Very disappointed. It was unusable.
