I just started learning dog grooming and bought this set. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, and this set was reasonably priced. (I had bought a single thinning/cutting scissor from a local retailer, and they broke during the first use.) I used this set on a friend's Golden Doodle, (the same dog where the other scissors broke). I tried all of the scissors and especially liked using the small scissors for her ear hair and the pad hair. The rounded tips are great because she's not very still. (She was absolutely not a fan of me trimming around her paws) The thinning scissors were perfect around her snout and body after clipper cutting her. These held up well even on her crazy super thick fur. The other scissors worked to cut out some of the matted fur. I also like the case because it keeps everything organized and safe. The only thing that didn't work on her was the comb and only because her fur is so thick. I believe those will work on different dogs. Next up, a wire fox terrier...hoping the set works just as well on him as it did on the Doodle.

This is a really great kit and scissors are sharp! I adopted a senior poodle 4 years ago so I don’t know what may have happened , but she bites and hates being groomed. So a home haircut with clippers takes about 2 weeks- little at a time. Older she gets the worse she gets about being groomed. Using the thinning shears first and then the long blade scissors she sat for longest she ever has. With the short I have been able to slowly get around her face. Still takes us time but she tolerates these scissors better. Wish I had this kit 4 years ago. The case is nice also- no longer searching for trimming scissors.

I have been grooming my dogs for over 10 years with the same scissors. I had no idea how bad my scissors were until I bought this new set! Grooming my dog is so much easier now that I have sharp scissors.

Products came in excellent condition and worked very well.

The comb is great in the kit however, the scissors keep loosening. I have to stop several times while grooming my morkie to tighten them back up.
