My Family's Soybean Farm

Although our grandchildren are growing up in a city, they are very interested in what happens on the farm where their mother grew up. They live too far away to visit regularly, so I send them videos of various activities on the farm. This book will help to fill in the blanks for them. It is filled with factual up-to date information about how soybeans grow, and how farmers care for them and harvest them. It also explains how soybeans are used. I am excited to share this book with my grandchildren!

This is a GREAT book to use in the lower classes about farming. But also one can pull out scince, technology, history, care or plants and our land, where our food comes from, what all soy beans are in....have Ford Trucks come in and have a duel lesson....how many soy beans are in a Ford seat? The students would love this! This book has an endless use in my world! I love the colorful pages! Great job! I love how the seed bean is planted, and showed in the stages across the pages in growth! Thank you as farmers we can take and show this book!

I do a great deal of reading to elementary school children. It can be a challenge to find accurate books about agriculture. This book hits all the bases! It is not only accurate, it does a wonderful job of depicting a beautiful, normal Hispanic family. The use of photographs and illustrations is delightful. The information about agriculture and what it means to be part of a farming family is right on target. I can't wait to Zoom into a few more classrooms with this wonderful book!

This is a great book to educate young children about growing a crop on a farm, what plants need and how they grow, and even a little bit about how farming practices have changed over the years.I love the bright pictures on each page, and that the story line on each page is ‘just right’. Not too much that it looses a child’s attention, but enough to really tell the story through a child’s eyes.I think you would love this book to share with your children!

Living on our family’s farm where we grow soybeans, I was excited about reading this book! It is an excellent book for elementary aged children to learn about one America’s major crops. It covers everything from planting, caring for and harvesting soybeans. It also tells how the soybeans are used in our lives every day. I like the illustrations combining drawings and real life pictures of life on a farm. I give it a thumbs up!!
