Royal Wulff Bermuda Triangle Taper Salt Short Head Fly Line

I like this line a lot. I hired a guide who had this line paired with a TFO model BVK. That combo was great for fishing the Florida flats. So I bought my own Bermuda Short as soon as I came home. Here's what I like about it : the line changes color at the head so you know exactly when you can start your next cast. It's a short head triangle taper designed to get line out fast, which it does. I am not a great caster, but I can easily put out 60' with a single cast (no false casting necessary), which is exactly what you need to do when sight-casting on the flats. The other nice thing is it does not have memory coils that get all tangled up as you try to shoot line. It does have welded loops on both ends which may be a plus or minus depending on your personal preference.UPDATE : I managed to tear out a chunk of fly line near the loop. Wulff replaced it under warranty. All I had to pay was one-way shipping. Great customer service!

I bought this line for an all around redfish line. It would be perfect for tight creeks in the everglades, it loads with very little line out, and if all your casting in close in this line will work for you. I found this line has a sweet spot that it will perform well at, you had to strip it in very close to get it to lift off the water properly, and it is difficult to cast that occasional long distance with this line. I switched to Airflow's Tropical Chard line and find it loads with just a little more line off the tip, but I can easily cast it 85' when needed.

The best I have ever used for accurate casts in tight mangrove openings.
