THERE IS NO SAFE LEVEL OF LEAD ON YOUR SKIN, AND ESPECIALLY NEAR YOUR MOUTH WHERE YOU WILL EAT IT. BURTS BEES IS A MARKETING OPERATION, NOT A NATURAL PRODUCT.

What is the expiry date for sunset cruise ? Also is this full size ?

Hi there, thanks for reaching out! Please note that our products usually last a minimum of three years unopened and should be used within 12 months after opening. Also, while our lipstick comes in one size, please contact us at 800-849-7112 so we can chat more about this. Be sure to have this reference number handy when you call: 171214-000564. We look forward to your call! Emma from the Burt's Bees team

Why with all that is out there are you using crushed beetles (c70?, or carmine its called in ingredient list)?

R, 1. Carmine is a colour additive. 2. Carmine is not only sourced from crushed beetles on pear cacti. 3. Carmine IS indeed required by the FDA to be reported if it is an ingredient. 4. Carmine is used in cosmetics, pharmaceutical pill pigmentation, dying material in the clothes industry. The FDA only requires that if carmine is an ingredient, it must be listed. The FDA does NOT designate if the manufacturers sourced it from beetles. The only valid point that your presumption is correct is that Burts Bee advertises as all natural ingredients. That COULD, but is NOT, guaranteed to be crushed beetles. In short, if you’re vegan or only use and consume plant based meals, you’ll need to contact Burts Bees to verify its source of carmine. It’s a stretch to conclusively make such a claim. Hope this eases your concern for beetles.

I'm looking for a brownish or coralish pink color. Would Doused Rose work?

Hello there! We'd love to help. We recommend trying Sunset Cruise for a coral color and Russet River for more of a brown shade. We hope this helps! Mel from the Burt's Bees team

Doused Rose is looking good on this 74 year olds lips!

So hard to tell when buying on line what the color really will look like but I am pretty happy with this one. It is on the medium pink side and has no sparkle which is what I wanted. I do add a tad bit of lip shne over it but it is a very attractive medium pink tone that give life to your face and seems natural yet gives you that little extra color. I have been using lots of lip balms and decided to try a lipstick and BBs is highly recommend as a natural, non toxic, clean one and so I am going to stick with their brand since I am leaning towards healthier alternatives these days, especially something you put on your lips. THe only minus is figuring out what the color will be when you buy it on line.

Has bumps all I've the l

It's a nice one. But there are strange bumps all over the tip of the lipstick which puts me off every time I think of applying it cos you know it won't glide smoothly over your lips... And thus deters me from using it altogether. Too bad the cute cute design can't save it.
