We bought two strands of these lights to crisscross the ceiling of a large outdoor wedding venue. We were super pleased! They worked super well, and the many different settings to make them twinkle, etc. were nice and ranged from very subtle slow-dim and brighten to seizure-inducing pulsations. We had them mixed with some red party lights (as pictured), but they were even strong enough to hang lanterns on without worrying about breaking them (also as pictured).Putting them up required a minimum of two people being very careful to only unwind them AS we put them up. It was very clear by the fineness of the wire that if they were to get tangled, or someone was to fumble the coil and drop it, or let out the wrong part at the wrong time, or if someone was to just try to go hog-wild and unroll them all right out of the box, they would quickly become irrevocably tangled and useless. But they were pretty easy to put up since we knew we had to take care from the start. After the event, someone who was not me took them down, and they are now in a big cardboard box. I am doubtful that I will be able to reuse them since they were probably just piled in there and are tangled, but for the price, a one-time use is still fine by me. If someone were to get an empty spool, though, and wind them on a spool as they took them down, I'm sure they could avoid getting all tangled up and would be highly reusable. We just didn't have time or a spool on hand, so it is what it is. We'll see if I get a second use out of them! If not, still super satisfied! Created great ambiance. I don't recall that mine came with a remote control, though... just the control on the cord near the plug.

This is a HUGE set -- very long. If you have to thread it through a pool fence, as I did, it is very time-consuming to push the two large bundles of wire through each opening. There is no break in the 100-yard string. I think it would be awesome if they would just break it into sections using a slender, proprietary two-prong connector. I think that it could be done without creating much of a visible 'bump' in the line. The wire is relatively 'slick' -- meaning that it slides on itself easily, so it doesn't have a strong tendency to tangle like some heavier sets do. Still, you really have to be careful with it -- as the instructions do say.Anyway ... the result was perfect. All the lights worked (which is good because the bulbs aren't replaceable), and the twinkle effect was nice. The color was warm -- not too blue. We left it up, outdoors, for a couple of weeks in the Arizona sun, with no issues. When it came time to take it down, I made two cards out of heavy cardboard, notched at the ends, to give me something to wind them on. That worked fine.

Warm white color is perfect. The clicker remembers what you set it on. The length is very long, which I think is good value for the money. Despite being so long, they are very light (as in, not heavy). I read the reviews about it getting tangled and honestly thought "people are do dumb". Well I am officially dumb. I bought 4 sets. The first set I spent 3 hours untangling. The second set only about 90 minutes. By the third time, I developed a system (see photo ... keep things separate!) and had no tangles. Haven't opened box 4 yet.My one complaint may not be the light's fault, but I can't be sure. I had them plugged into an outlet near an electric fence. After two nights, two sets stopped working. However, I noticed even when they weren't plugged in, they were flickering at the same interval the electric fence was discharging at. One set was clearly chewed by a red squirrel my husband thinks is out to get him. The other set appears to be intact, but stopped working even when I swapped the plug for one of the sets that work. I can't find any chewed areas, but when I put it up originally, I noticed the string was slightly damaged. There is no way I would have seen it when I tested the lights before they went up, because the string is so long. The first day, the whole string worked. The second day, the 12 foot section surrounding the damaged area was out. The third day, the whole set. So I'm not sure if I missed an area the squirrel chewed, or the electric fence somehow shorted it out, or it was just broken from the beginning. Since it's already up on my garage, and I have devoted almost 5 hours to untangling then, I'm not going to try to return it. Overall though, I'd buy them again.

suggest you allow 15- 30 minutes to unravel the string- such products should be sold on a spool

Writing this review 2 years later because these lights have been the greatest. I used them to decorate my cabin during lockdowns and it quickly became a personality staple of my home. Can't imagine my home without it. I use the lights instead of lamps so they are used about 6 or more hours every single night and haven't had any issues.

Excellent length but the thickness of the wire can be thicker. I was a little tentative on installing them in -5c degree weather as the wire got harder. Good warmth on the light but needed at least two of those to wrap around my outdoor tree that starts at 8ft wide on the bottom and tapers to 2 ft up top x 20ft high to have a dramatic effect. Would buy again.

It is impossible to entangle. Poor packaging. Waste if money!.

These are a great value Wasn’t sure if they would be bright enough outside but after I put them up the neighbors asking for them tooEven got cards from neighbors thanking me for brightening the area
