Great reader with a cord
This works great, right out of the box! I needed a fingerprint reader with a cord, as my USB ports are not convenient for this purpose. It is accurate and so convenient. It beats entering my pin every time the screensaver goes on.

Good product that could be great.
Works pretty well most of the time. The reader has difficulties with identifying prints as the contact area is small, very small. For me, it fits my pinky finger perfectly but of course that's not that finger I used. It's a good product that could be great if the contact area were at least 25% bigger.Note: In my case it was plug and play, as soon as I plugged it in, Windows identified it and the appropriate drivers were automatically installed. I believe that is to be the case with Windows 10/11 installations. Your mileage may vary.

Awesome! (Not working fix)
Works exactly like it should and makes like soooo much easier! If you find that it won't work when your PC is asleep, or it's been sitting idle for a while, then you need to change the driver settings. See picsOpen "Device Manager" (Google it if you don't know how to)- Click on "Biometric devices"- RIGHT-CLICK on "VeriMark DT Fingerprint Key"- Select the "Power Management" tab- UNCHECK the box that says, "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".- Click "OK" and close out Device ManagerIf you continue to have the same issues, you may have to do the same thing for the USB that it's plugged in to. Just right
I mounted this with 3M adhesive under my desk like a pseudo "panic" button - I can lock/unlock and perform 2FA functions by just touching it. Worked perfectly out of the box on Win11 without additional drivers.

Worked for a while - Now it is useless
UPDATE:I've had it about a month and a half. Or about 2 weeks past the return window. It got more and more fussy about reading our fingerprints. I thought it was just me because of dirt and oil and whatever on my hands from working in the garage. But my wife had the same issues. Now it's just a useless piece of junk.I switched over to Digital Persona 4500 fingerprint reader. I haven't had any issues since. You can find them on Amazon - but buying a used one on eBay from a reputable seller is the better bet. It also costs a lot less. They don't come with drivers. However all you need to do is google Digital Persona 4500 driver and look for the HID Global website to find them. It's no more complicated than downloading any other driver and installing it.Original:I've had it about a week and so far so good. I started looking at these when one of our kiddos somehow obtained our Windows pin #, then used that to obtain some other sensitive information from our desktop computer and got himself in a boatload of trouble....I'm using Win 10 and it was very easy to get it set up with Windows Hello. Now instead of entering a PIN or password we just touch our finger.I couldn't get this to work with Dashlane. So we switched to NordPass and now instead of entering the master password to unlock it we just touch our finger.I initially encountered some issues with it going to sleep and not waking up as others have mentioned. After doing some research I double checked the BIOS settings to make sure the USB ports were powered even if the machine was off. That was how BIOS was set - so that wasn't the issue.I then checked in device manager and under Power Management I had to uncheck a box that allowed the computer to turn it off to save power. Once I did that I haven't had any issues with it not working.I love the small size of it. I'm not entirely sure the kiddos even know what it is.The adhesive on it was worthless. Even after cleaning the desk with an alcohol wipe and letting it dry the adhesive on it didn't last a day. I replaced it with a good quality double sided tape and haven't had any issues. There isn't much weight to it - so you really do need to secure it to the desk for it to be usable. It's much easier and faster to touch a finger and log into windows, and log into the password manager. And it keeps any kiddos from looking over our shoulders. It's a win win situation. Couldn't be happier so far. Will update if it doesn't last or other issues crop up.

No Information Provided to Set Up VeriMark
The product quality is impressive; however, no user manual is provided. They give you a QR code to scan but the web page it takes you to is cumbersome to navigate through to find your product from a large list of ACCO products. Then, when you finally find the VeriMark link, it says that there are drivers to download, but if you click the "Download Drivers" button, nothing happens. I had to search on You Tube. Found several reviews, and after a seemingly long time, I finally found a video that said after plugging the VeriMark into your computer's USB port, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > Fingerprint recognition (Windows Hello), and then follow the instructions provided to set up your finger(s). How hard would it be for Yubiko to just print that on the same card they put the QR code on?

Quick easy fingerprint login for Windows desktop PC's
I got this because I use Windows 10 on a desktop machine to work from home, and the company I work for has set the screen locking timeout so short that I can't even use the bathroom without it locking up and requiring me to enter a 12 character password to get back in.The device is very easy to install and get to work with Windows Hello; no drivers are required. The cable is long enough to run it from the back of my computer (on the floor) to a convenient place on my desk. The reader has a bit of weight to it, and has some sort of anti-slip coating underneath to make it stay in place, even while you use it. The weight of the cable is not enough to pull it off the desk, even when it's right at the edge.Reading a fingerprint takes only a fraction of a second and just a light touch is enough. A built in red/white light shows whether the fingerprint was recognized or not.
