I grew up in Italy, where they don't have a "Bicycle card mentality". Cards there are more expressive and diverse. I loved the vibrant colors and the ideas they had. I find the Elephant Medieval playing cards reminded me so much of those beautiful cards of my youth. They are a work of art, each one, and you will not tire of admiring the designs and art on each of them. I find them to be very serviceable for card play. They feel great, and sized very well. They are smooth enough to allow for any card game and durable enough to hold up for quite a long time. I simply love this deck and will be getting more of the same in the future. I like some of the other shades offered. This will not be my last purchase of Elephant Playing Cards. Highly recommended.

I bought these cards to have a more appropriate feel at the LARP I go to. The cards are all really easy to tell the difference between and the backs look amazing as well. As expected they shuffle like any other deck of cards, but if you're OCD beware. The Jack, Queen, King, and Ace pictures aren't mirrored vertically like traditional playing cards. This could lead to people giving additional information if you plan to play poker with them, and they want to see the art.

This is a nice deck of cards if you want something a little different. Though the cards don't quite feel like your standard Bicycle cards - they feel a bit more papery and don't have quite as much spring to them - they fan and slide and shuffle for me just fine. The illustrations are nice, and each face card is unique. The colors as they are printed are sort of dull and muted, which may be to your taste. I don't regret my purchase, especially for the price they were offered for (under $10).

The stand out art on the cards is the griffin on the Wild Card. They should have used this art on the face of the Aces. As it stands they are just plain boring shields and it is art to distinguish between the Ace of Hearts or Diamonds if do not pay attention. They should have used the griffin art. That is my only knock. Otherwise, finish is great. Shuffle great. For my purpose, they will be find but I am still disappointed given on prominent the griffin art is on the box.

The shipping packing could have been better as the deck was in a box with no padding. Got a little dinged up, but no worries as only the jokers got damaged. I don't use them when playing anyway. The overall quality of the cards are great. The colors are vibrant, card stock is nice and thick and they glide really well. I would compare the quality of these to Bicycle or Bee brand cards, made from the same type stock. I collect playing cards and these make a nice addition to my collection
