These are pretty and can either show a steady light or flicker option. The only work via remote however and you can set a 4 or 8 hour timer but you have to turn them on and set them everyday. Least impressive of all was the fact that one candle stopped working after barely 3 weeks - especially since they don't come on by themselves it wasn't as if it was three weeks of daily use since I often would forget to put them on. So the middle candle won't come on with the remote or the bottom switch. I changed the batteries twice and then found if I jiggled the "flame" it came on for a second but wouldn't stay. I contacted Amazon and was given the run around by the Customer Service agent. First he told me he thought it had blown a fuse.. ? then that it probably had a short and needed to be opened up and re-soldered. Seriously?! As if I'm going to take apart a candle and, after running out and buying a soldering gun, reassemble this thing?!! Not pleased. SO, after warning me that this was a one time only option, he finally offered a refund if I return all 3 since the return window has closed. ( I bought them for Christmas, it's Feb. 1) Absolutely laughable. So Skip over Lily's candles, they are junk. and skip over the chat Customer service too if you ever need help, just call. It was just a huge waste of time and left me very annoyed given the fortune I spend at Amazon, even before the pandemic.

These candles are great for the low price. I love the timer function of 4 or 8 hrs, just turn them on at the time you would like them to come on each night and enjoy. I am using them in my windows as part of my Christmas decorations. Them flicker and give the right amount of glow. They are ivory color wax candles but give off a golden glow. I will definately order another set. Just wish they came with the batteries.Update...I thought these candles would come on each day after setting time the first day, but I noticed they were not. Thought they were defective, but after reading several reviews, other buyers said they are incorrectly described. I then returned a second set I had ordered.

Very nice and attractive electric candles. They do look like real burning candles from a short distance away. Many visitors thought they were real. Timer device I never could get working properly for all three at the same time. During Christmas time with nightly use, the batteries lasted about a month. The controller pictured is not what you get but the written description is accurate. A second set was requested by a daughter-in-law. This was no longer availabe so I bought a different brand from a different seller. They came packaged differently but are the same candles and controller.

Holding these candles in my hand, I thought they were very cheap. However they look very nice on my fireplace mantel. When the electric lights in the room are completely off, these candles look lovely. However if you have any electric light on, you can’t really tell the candles are on. I have other LED candles next to them and they shine much more brightly.Update: it’s been some time since I’ve ordered theses d despite their being dim, I love them. When the lights are off and these candles are on, the inside of the candle is golden. The candle itself is silver. The golden light filters through the top quarter of the silver candle and looks gorgeous.

At first glance the candles looked just beautiful. I removed them from their packaging and noticed that one of the candles had a hole in it. This was a last minute order and I needed them for a function and had no time for return so I just put the bad side of the candle toward the back. I put batteries in all the candles, made sure they worked and reached for the remote. The remote looked as if it had been run over, smashed on one side. Thank God, it worked. It's not pretty but no one sees it anyway. I am just very disappointed that the company would sell this as new.

I used the product to backlight a glass photo in my bedroom. Although there is a realistic flickeringeffect, there are *no* distracting mechanical patterns on the ceiling from a moving cutout flame!Also *no* overpowering scent. The candles also appear to be durable. The timer permitssimple on-off or "on" intervals of 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. I have looked at manysets and this is the only one that met my requirements.

Liked the appearance of the candles, made with real wax and the brightness control and flicker effect were good. Unfortunately the remote only worked 50% of the time, the middle candle stopped working the 2nd day and the small candle stopped working on the 3rd day. Followed instructions, checked all settings and batteries but could not get 2 of 3 candles to turn-on again. Too bad.. they looked great while they lasted.

The candles are beautiful. This is the first time that I have had a set of candles and the remote worked. A couple years ago, I bought from a reputable company and the remote didn't work ever -sent back, ordered another it also didn't work. So I am happy with this set -works perfectly.

I’ve never been a fan of What I’ve always considered to be ‘fake candles’. I love real candles and vowed never to buy any battery ones. My dilemma came when I wanted to put some candles on my fireplace underneath a large wicker heart. Real candles were out of the question so I reluctantly bought these. I’m surprised to hear myself say that I love them! You might not get the same amount of flickering as a lit candle, but it looks pretty and I can put them anyway. I have since bought another set of Battery candles, so I must have been impressed by these!

Lovely design but the control is temperamental and they hardly light up... They're very dim.
