Nice but having reservations now
I’m a huge fan of these locks… however, it was sent with a faulty battery which corroded over night.I was also looking forward to using the app but the lock will not pair. The suggested troubleshooting techniques have not worked either, so I’m unable to utilize that feature.UPDATE: Replaced the battery with a brand new Energizer battery and it only lasted 1 day before it starting saying "Battery low, replace battery". Possible that the faulty battery that came with it shorted out the system now. Grrrrrr... How do I return it for a replacement without leaving a hole in my door until another one comes?

It's missing instructions.
I think that what is driving everyone crazy is that it's missing instructions. I know that's what drove ME crazy. So here's the deal: the instructions only take you to the testing of the passcode but they don't tell you what's gonna happen. So here I am, following every step in the book and installing it correctly and then going crazy because it doesn't work, when in fact it did. I just didn't know. So for those folks who had no prior experience with this type of locks, like me, this is the part that should be in the instructions but it is not: once you installed it correctly, you enter the password...and nothing happens. That is because you are supposed to make it happen: if you don't turn the knob, it will lock up again. So please, make sure that you enter the passcode, TURN THE KNOB, and then you can get in. Then, you need to go to the back and latch and unlatch to program it. Now you can use it. I thought this thing was smart enough to unlatch on its own once you enter the passcode. I guess we are not there yet.

Generally works well, Bluetooth isn’t as convenient as I had hoped.
I bought this lock specifically because it included an app/Bluetooth feature that other keypad locks don’t have. The lock was reasonably easy to install as long as you follow the directions. The keypad requires a 6 digit code. The included 9V battery was dead in the box.My hope was that I would mostly use the lock with the Bluetooth connection and my phone. Unfortunately the app is a bit buggy and doesn’t work as well as I would like. Sometimes the lock shows up in the app, sometimes not. If it does, the phone must be within 6-8ft from the lock before it can connect with the lock. The connection isn’t automatic, you have to click on a small button on the app to initiate the connection and then wait 6-12sec. The whole process is inconvenient, slow, and not as smooth as it could be. On the plus side the lock has a nice oil-rubbed bronze finish. It was installed in the fall and has worked all winter even with temps in the single digits. An Energizer Lithium 9V battery was installed with the lock about 4months ago and is still going strong. It’s not the best lock I have ever used, but if being able to control a manual deadbolt with your phone is an important feature for you, this is the only one I am aware of and it generally does work. Just don’t expect it to be frustration free.

Haven’t had any trouble
I bought the TL114 Keyless Door Lock back on Jan 24, 2020 so I’ve been using it for almost 3 years now. Its not the Bluetooth model, and I haven’t had any trouble with it at all. This is used on my garage door in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I’ve replaced the battery once, with a Kidde brand, which fit the battery terminals fine. When I get Energizer Ultimate Lithium 9V’s I’ll put one of those in (EXCELLENT batteries for cold climates!). Install was a bit of a pain, and I had to modify the hole in my door jamb to accept the dead bolt. Lock has been subjected to extreme cold, wind-driven rains, snow and ice. We’re using 4 sets of codes used on it. I can’t speak for others, so all I can say is that it’s been serving us well and I would buy it again. I wouldn’t go with the Bluetooth model tho.

Junk. Serious junk.
UPDATE: we took the lock off and redid it and now it works. The issue lies in putting it together. If you install the lock and the deadbolt is up and down when it’s in the unlocked position, it will not work properly. When the lock is unlocked, the deadbolt should be horizontal. I hope this makes sense. I’m sure you have a 50/50 chance of the same issue when installing. Now this lock works and I have zero issues with it. I wanted a manual turning lock to replace our electric lock because it kept getting stuck when our door would swell in the summer. I just wish the instructions worked better and explained this. It took far too long to figure it out on my own. What a piece of ****. The lock won’t stay engaged. No matter if you lock it manually or with the key, you can simply turn the lock part from the outside and the door just unlocks. There’s literally no way to lock it. Someone can just walk up to your door and turn the manual part and bam... door unlocks. I’ve tried looking up any solution and there’s nothing anywhere other than other customers complaining about the same issue. How has this company not realized this issue and corrected it. Nothing in the manual explains how to lock the door either.

Secures door
You are supposed to be able to share the E key with two people and right now we are not able to do that which kind of negates the ability of both of us husband and wife to have access via Bluetooth

Pain in the rear
This lock is amazing once you figure out how to install it. The instructions are not very clear. I messed with it for hours! I put this on the garage and bought a different brand for the house. The other one was installed with a breeze, but I don’t care for it as much.If you have the patience and time to kill, it’s worth trying!
