The Prestige Recordings Int'l Version

In the last century, John Coltrane and Charlie Parker set the bar very high for saxophonists.I have made a career playing the saxophone and now at 70 years old am semi retired.Facts are, I am still "chasing the Trane."These Prestige recordings are for me some of the best examples of the master's playing.Trane weaves melodically and seemingly effortlessly through the chord changes of original jazz heads as well asthe "Great American Songbook."I highly recommend adding this to your jazz library. The studio mastering is done well and the tracks are vibrant and alive.

Great compilation and amazing introduction for anyone wanting to explore the genius of Mr. John Coltrane. Enjoy this master's work!

I just couldn't be happier with the value....delivery could've been a bit quicker but overall very pleased .

Ce mot presque n'est pas une réserve, car les enregistrements de j.c qui ne figurent pas ici sont les enregistrements de coltrane quand il était membre du quintet de miles davis et ces pépites figurent sur l'intégrale de miles du mème catalogue. Le son est correct mais plutot meilleur que sur les albums individuels et ce coffrzet est maintenant proposé en format "cd" alors qu'auparavant il existait en format "coffret de lps". PF92
