WIX Racing Filters Air Filter

bought truck with a Fram filter in it. this fits so much better and filter part has more filter

I have always had good service from WIX filters (Air, Oil and Fuel) This air filter is 3/8" too tall to allow my filter element housing to seal up tightly- That means it will draw Hot air from the engine. GM designed the air intake to receive the fuel/air mixture air to draw from above the front wheel (The system works well, drawing fuel feed air from a source that is much more efficient for combustion- Cool air allows for better mixture, complete burn and much better MPG) In my 454 ci. - that means a lot, 3-5 better MPG. I'll have to use this as is (maybe wrap the top gap w/ Gorilla tape, as I live 90 miles from town) it's winter here in N.E. Wyoming, my engine compartment air will be cooler. Good Quality Craftsmanship, High Quality Materials- it just needs to be 3/8" shorter
