Way easier to install than expected

I've watched a lot of videos about adding solar power to my motorhome and they all say it is pretty straight forward, yet I was still a bit overwhelmed. Started the install yesterday, took about 4 hours total from walking out the door, to looking at the app showing the batteries were being charged. Excellent system that comes with everything except a disconnect switch, which I didn't bother to install this time around, but it will be easy to install later. Great package deal, worth every penny.

Good quality

Very well priced. Works well except rated at 400 watts but only produces about 140 watts.

Always incomplete

Ordered three units and all three arrived incomplete. Only solar panels arrived. No brackets or any other components needed to make the system functional.

So far so good

I just received this a week ago. They are not installed yet… this is a pre-review, i will update later. Every thing looks great quality. Someone would imagine that there would be red and black wire adapters to make certain that we dont invert polarity….. but no! Be extremely careful with that. In the instructions, they say that it’s very important to have a fuse! Yes but it’s not included! Update to follow in about a week. One week later… everything installed. Works perfectly! The pnly reason why i give it only 4 stars is that the positive wires could be red!

Go solar

Solar power is awesome!!!!! I love camping in the woods and never listening to our loud generator. The kit contained everything I needed although it would have been nice to have more cable in between the panels so I could have spread them out more. The tricky part was running the wires through the Trailer and to the batteries. The batterie temp. wire is only 5 feet long but the batterie charge cable was more like 25' so I could not use the temp gauge. The system has kept my batteries charged up since. Seems to work in the shade as well but really pumps it out in direct sunlight. Great product well worth the price.

Better than I expected.

I installed this on our RV in rainy Pacific North West.Easy installation.Ever since we disconnected from the piedestall and have only used solar power. I did not expect to be able to do that here in Oregon. But our batteries get fully charges every day and during the day we discharge To 40 - 50%, BUT IN THE AFTERNOON WE REACH 100% again. It has been like that even on rainy days. We can run lights, fans, water pump, tv, charging for PC, Phones and Ipads. All this on 400W solar system. I'm very possitive surprised by this.

Solar Freedom

We purchased this system for our 5th wheel set up. We didn't want to have to run our generator, burning fuel and disturbing others. Our goal is to get experience and knowledge with solar while we build our house (will be living off-grid). This system is easy to install and hook up. I've read other reviews where people are complaining about no directions. We live in an age of relentless technology....go to youtube like we did. We found videos directly from the manufacturer on assembly. Once we watched that 5min piece it was easy sailing. We didn't install it on the 5th wheel because we don't want holes drilled into the roof or sides. We built a simple 2x4 wooden frame to mount to with panels side-side on the ground. HEADS UP: if you're going to install these panels side-side then be sure to get extension cables to connect your panels to each other.

Charge Controller Inadequate

I was surprised with the lack of installation & wiring instructions in the kit. I had to rely on wiring diagrams found on a Google search. I wired the panels in series (not parallel) and was getting 70V on a cloudy day only to find out that the Adventurer charge controller that came with the kit can only handle a max PV input voltage of 50V. There was nothing in the kit to advise series vs parallel and apparently if I had wired the panels in parallel then the controller it may have worked. In hind site I should have wired the panels in parallel but changing the panel mounting and wiring is not an option for me anymore so I have ordered the Rover 40A MPPT charge controller, which can handle 100V PV input voltage.
