Clairol Natural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Dye, 7RG Dark Rose Gold Blonde Hair Color, 3 Count

Before and after. I have naturally strawberry blonde-ish hair. The thing about non-permanent dye is that it’s gonna stick to the damaged parts differently. The ends are pinkish because I had grown out highlights. If you use this color on bleached hair it will probably end up more pink than you’re wanting. HOWEVER I am very impressed at how it covered my natural hair. Usually non-permanent dyes don’t stick well to it. This is one step above products like overtone in my opinion. This one just stuck better. I wash my hair once a week so I see this lasting a good while. This has a *slight* chemical smell but not bad at all. Left hair feeling normal.

I never wanted the orangey/copper colored hair. I have different levels of color, and the last 6 inches were bleached. I did a color remover, twice, before using this product. The color is very interesting. I am happy it did not go darker (glad I did a pre-color remover) It came out slightly redder then I expected, but it's not bad. I haven't done a wash yet, but I expect it to fade. My only issue was that my graying roots did not seem to get any color. But I plan on doing a root touch up next week. I think my crown didn't get the proper amount of time. Glad this order was 3 boxes! Smelled nice, no ammonia. I mixed in a bowl. You can also use a scale to measure 1:1 if you only need a small amount. As long as you don't mix it, the rest can be saved. I will be washing for first time in a day or two, so hopefully it wont fade right away. Supposed to last through 28 washes, but I will drop a star if it fades sooner.

It's Clairol Natural Instincts. It's been a good product for decades now. I used it for years, years ago. Then switched to henna. Now with the amount of gray in my hair, henna was making it too red and decided I needed to go lighter, so have returned to Clairol. This kind of hair color is supposed to fade over time & shampoos, but I have never seen that happen on my hair. Tip. Get another applicator bottle and just mix half (1 oz of each) for every root touchup.

Love this non damaging color. It makes my hair shine and feel thicker. Have used it for decades. I combine a few colors together to get a custom color for my skin tone and eye color.

The product is great! But only if you have filled in hair. My hair had platinum highlights and underneath dark blonde natural. My hair turned pink! Hues of purple. I immediately put on another box and put on for another 10-15. Purple hues still. So I'm experienced in all this so I went to Sally's and got demi permanent level 8Gold. Worked like a charm and I've gotten so many compliments of my hair and thinking it's natural. So I saved you a $300 color correction if you have platinum hair. Fill the hair with pure gold or a filler and the red will deposit great. Love the conditioner in this and wish I could buy it. Hair feels soft and don't feel like there was any damage. Would recommend. I'd like to add that my natural dark blonde underneath was a perfect color on the box and that's my goal for all over over time. Fingers crossed
