AKKON - For Cadillac Escalade Black Bezel HID Xenon Type Headlights Front Lamps Replacement Set

Update from 7/2019These lights still look brand new. No moisture, no rattling and the lense itself still is smooth with no hazing.Bought these headlights to replace my old set in my 2003 Escalade that was to hazed over to repair. These were securely packaged individually and arrived several days ahead of the estimated delivery date. The light themselves fit perfectly. There were no gaps, no flimsy plastic housings as they felt very OEM and very high quality. I did have to make a slight modification the required that I reuse the HID wire that connects to the ballast. In the new headlight, the HID wire terminates into a plug that is designed to plug into the ballast. However in my original headlamp, the HID wire actually terminates directly into the ballast with no plug. This was simple fix as all I had to do was swap the original HID wire to the new headlight and I was back in business. These new lights give a fresh new look to the front of the truck. It was nice to see that they included all the light bulbs with the exception of the low beams. Understandably as the D1R Xenons are 140.00 for the pair alone so I would not expect them to be included for what the cost of these headlights are. I have no reason to anticipate these headlamps to fail so the deserve a 5 star. I will update this review in the future if something changes.

We ordered these to replace out old headlights that had become yellow and old looking. The were a perfect fit, easy to install and easy to understand the instructions. A great price as well. The dealership wanted way more than what you see here.

These replaced my very scratched and yellowed factory housings. Remains to be seen how they hold up, but came with all bulbs EXCEPT the hid/xenon low beam. I did have to gently pull the hid lead out of the old housing, which was assisted by long needlenose pliers to rotate the connecter around stuff, but new housing had a bit more clearance to manoeuver the lead into place. Swap old hid bulb over, everything fit and worked perfectly. If you are replacing because your low beams don't light up the road well, I'd suggest ordering new hid bulbs at the same time as the housing, as they do dim a good bit over time. As for install on the Escalade, gentle wiggling gets it in place, at first it seemed the upper pin wasn't going to line up. But... The housing seems to fit exactly like the original. Good value... And since the hid bulbs vary wildly in price and quality, as well as color, personally I think they made the right choice NOT to include them

Before and after. My originals were dull and yellow. I wetsanded and buffed them but was still unhappy. Picked up these blacked out Akkons for 208$ and I am super pleased! Took about 20 minutes to swap the HID bulb harnesses, and about 5 to swap the housings out. 2 pins on each headlight and your rocking!You do have to somewhat give em some finness to get them in as the lock tab holes aren't 100% spot on but they are tight, secure and locked in. I did have to bend the two metal tabs that the retainer locks into to get the HID bulb in easier but they bent right back and locked down tight.Recommended to everyone on FB Escalade groups and will buy again if anything happens. Also purchased the 3 year warranty through Amazon.

2006 Cadillac Escalade HID version self install.These head lamp assemblies look great out of the box and were packaged very well. All bulbs except low-beam HID were included. Watched a Youtube video on how self-install. Not that difficult and I am no professional.Now when doing the final install, getting these to fit snug like the original ones were a bit challenging as they did not align. After some force (which you should be extra careful doing as you do want to crack any part of the assembly nor your vehicle) it finally fit, but about ~97% perfect. Second hiccup was noticed only when these were put to test when driving at night. Noticed the passenger side low beam HID bulb is reflecting differently than the driver side. When looked at the assembly from exterior noticed the bulb is facing more inwards than it should. As troubleshoot, the bulb was reinstalled and switched with driver side bulb to no avail. Customer service (kind and responsive) only offered a full refund upon product return - quiet the hassle. Lastly, small but to mention, the surrounding rubber (not the one that seals the light but the one that aligns the assembly to the vehicle fender) is coming off about an inch on the passenger side light.Overall, the expectations of an aftermarket Made In China product were met.Hope these last otherwise and only time will tell. Will be sure to provide an update.

Lights are crystal clear, finally I can see the road. Install was simple. There appeared to be an issue with the blinker on the passenger side right after install. It was flashing quickly indicating a potential short or burned out bulb. I removed the housing and found the bulb was just loose. Can’t wait to see how these hold up over time.
