Sweet item for your normal "clutch-backed" pins!!
These are a very basic product, unique and value priced. It's simple....sometimes "pins"(an often shaped product used to advertise/promote a specific brand or idea, often enameled/gilt as opposed to buttons which have a rounded shape and are usually printed with a gloss plastic protective overcoast) have a long, pointed shank. If you are like me, you hate the standard clutch back because the pin can easily poke through it and stab part of your body OR you have experienced the loss of a pin by the clutch failing. This product is hardcore, in that you will likely break the solder bead in the back of the pin OR tear through your clothing before this pinkeeper fails. It's a strong mechanical BOND between the pin and the keeper. When the pointed shanks are too long, they need to be filed down....they can be pointed while you are doing it, so there should be no harm. Often, motorcyling industry pins are long shanked so they can easily go through leather vests....If you are going to do that, a backing that will not poke you/catch on anything like a hoodie or t-shirt work underneath the pin and holds securely is really sort of required.Nice value, shipped securely, would buy again.

If you're attatching your pins to something thick like a leather jacket
Works perfectly for Disney pins. If you're attatching your pins to something thick like a leather jacket, these pin backs are probably perfectly sized as is. I was putting pins on backpacks and bags with relatively thin canvas. I used a little black fabric folded over a few times and pressed onto the pin as a perfect spacer (before adding the backer) so i won't get accidentally poked or scratched.Like other reviewers have said, the parts are tiny and the screw bit should probably just come pre-inserted into the backing, but I found it pretty easy to do that by myself with the included tool. I had tweezers at the ready because of othrr reviewers' advice, but i found it was actually easier without tweezers.Overall the product is perfect. My first and onky concern was keeping my pins attached so I won't lose them. I pulled hard on the pins once the backers were secured and I feel confident that they're not going anywhere.

Simple Design, Easy to Install! Perfect for my vest pins!
At first I thought these things would stick out too much and push against my chest... but once installed, they were totally fine. Easy to install, only a little small for my fingers... I found it easiest to put the little screw on the allen wrench and then get into of the threads of the main piece. All in all, great little product, and I never have to worry about my pins falling off... EVER, until I want them to come off. Great price too. THANKS!

Good product
Really happy that I could find these. The only reason not for a 5 star is as I was traveling one of my pins that I secured lost its backing somehow. I did make sure that when attaching that it was as tight as I could make it. Not as large of a problem because I heard the pin drop off my bag so not lost. After I returned home I went back and rechecked.

No more lost pins!
I don't leave a lot of reviews but I was so excited that this product actually worked! I buy a lot of inexpensive products on amazon that end up being disappointing or cheaply made, but these little pin backers are awesome! I didn't have any trouble putting it on my pin with my fingers, but I can imagine that it might be a little harder for someone with larger fingers or limited mobility, but I would think that tweezers would work fine. I gave the pin a few hard tugs after putting it on just to test it out and it holds firm. I've almost lost some nice pins, so I'm excited to not have to worry about that anymore.

Seem to be well made
The barrel/receiver has a nice finish, no tooling marks or sharp edges. The pieces have some weight to them which tells me it's of decent metal.

Solid solution for the steady-fingered!
Despite the line, "SET SCREWS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED TO SAVE TIME" this has not been done. However, the amount of time this takes is negligible. A note for those who drop these (may your divine providence of choice have mercy on your soul) the tiny black set screws are highly magnetic, and the shiny metallic latches the set screws go into are just a tiny bit magnetic.Have a metal file on hand before you start. You WILL be filing down the points of your pins, unless you just enjoy pain. And if so, I won't kink-shame you. I have tried three other options before this. Normal butterflies kept coming off of the pins that I had on my leather satchel (man-purse) and I lost a sentimental pin that way. So I tried the rubber grommet pin-backs, but they are bulky and the rubber makes them stick to things, like skin and clothing, and when they get the tiniest bit wet they smell bad. Then I tried locking pin-keepers, but unfortunately I bought them from a dedicated pin webpage, where they were expensive, and only nine out of ten worked. Also, they, too, were noticeably bulky, and when I went to take them off (to try this solution) several had to be broken in half to remove them. This solution is new yet on my bag, but testing it with a fingernail and some pressure, I am very certain these aren't going anywhere. Meanwhile, they are much smaller than any other solution, and it would be hard for someone to steal a pin (though why would they?)
