This is the third time I've ordered vanilla beans from Fitnclean. Each time the beans have been fresh and of very high quality. I use the beans to make true vanilla extract. The cost may seem high but for making vanilla extract they are a great value. True Madagascar vanilla beans are rare and the majority of "real" vanilla is fake and not from true Madagascar beans.

They are def. above average and since either Grade A or B are fine for vanilla extract it all comes down to time it takes to infuse your extract. These took a bit longer 7 to 9 months vs the 6 month time. I do the extract in batches so for me it made no difference. Size: Size is great. I can split them with ease and they are larger than the Vanilla Bean Kings that I get. Much larger. Moisture: Moisture is probably a high B+ grade vs an A. I like working with A Smell: about a B in fragrance. Taste: quite good. again an average B In short they are more than fine for making extract but it will take a bit longer and the fragrance isn't a knock you out fragrance. When you make your own you want to be swept off your feet so I might purchase these again with and mix with others.

I bought vanilla beans at my local grocery store and they were horrible. I took a chance on Amazon and these were great! Fresh, fragrant and ready for use.

Similar to other ones I've used. No issues with size or flavor.

First off, these smell amazing even through the tight vacuum sealed bag. One side note: I bought soap at the same time and wished Amazon didn’t ship it all in the same box, but it was a two day time frame from ordering to delivery, so that’s not too much in same box, and because it’s vacuum sealed it didn’t affect it. That said, these are great! VERY fresh, you can easily slice through and scrape off a pod, and there’s TONS of beans into a pod! I put the whole bag after opening into a glass jar. I don’t use vanilla very often, so I don’t want it to dry up. I bought Tahitian vanilla beans as well, and they do smell very different. These Madagascar are so worth the price (they’re actually the same as store bought),, and are 100 times better than the little two pods you get when you buy McCormick or other brands in stores, which some times are already drying out before you open them.

Madagascar vanilla beans are prized all over the world, highest quality, being organic is another bonus. To be able to get 11 beans at the excellent price, you would only get 2 in the stores for the price of what I paid for 11, I have been making my own vanilla extract for over 30 years, will never buy of the shelf!
